I am the Peppermint Chocolate Soymilk vegan black market underground. I want east coast bagels and falafel. I will provide tasty beverages in exchange. I hope Canada comes through this year.

The Silk holiday milks are still soy. I found them at Kroger last week.

I have a pet peeve with the Silk holiday milks though -- the "nog" is 90 calories per HALF cup. Last year it was sneaky and the front of all 3 of them said "90 calories per serving" and the nog was the only one with a 1/2 cup serving...the rest are 1 cup. This year they've brought them all in line with 1/2 cup servings, stating that the Chocolate Mint and Pumpkin Spice are 45 cal/serving...but come on, who drinks 4 oz of soy milk?

Especially when it's delicious nog! I can't remember the one that I prefer, but it was not the coconut one. I generally like almond milk as my go to, but I really prefer soy in coffee. I still haven't tried the coconut milk in a carton. I'm ok with that.

It's in the mail as soon as I spot it!

My boyfriend drinks almond milk only and whenever I catch him talking about how too much soy is no good, I give him the death glare.

Silk has a chocolate peppermint this year, but like So Delicious, it has stevia. Which means it tastes like stevia. Let's fight the real enemy, guys. (P.S. The real enemy is Stevia.)

Ew! Why?! To reduce calories? I am appalled.

That's atrocious. I will never forgive Vitasoy for leaving us! (In the U.S.)

I think unsweetened vanilla almond-coconut milk is delicious, but I really only buy milk to put in coffee, and it was gross there. I am happy that the non-dairy milk aisle is so huge though; there were like five options just in the almond-coconut blend section.

Generally I like soy better for everything though- milk, yogurt, ice cream.

I hear you, sister! Having a five minute delay between eating something and having the sweet flavour arrive is not something I want to relive.

especially when the sweet flavor is, like, part powdered sugar and part old nickel.

Down with stevia!

And ultimately futile, since those calories will only be replaced by extra rum.Seriously. November is here, and I want some boozed-up Holly Nog, dammit.

It has stevia and sugar, so it's not completely barfy. It's just not as good as Vitasoy.

What booze goes in nog? I've never had it, but I think I want it.

I like Stevia, am I out of the club?

Dark rum + nog + a sprinkle of nutmeg/cloves/cinnamon=holiday in your mouth. (People drink nog without booze?!)

nog + rum. I have some dark spiced rum that I am aging in a barrel. It will be amazeballs in some nog!

What brand should I look for? I don't drink many spirits, but I'd like to try rum. I'd also like to be a saucy lass.

I prefer soy yogurt, ice cream, creamer, etc., but I like the taste of plain almond milk better than plain soy milk. I like coconut, but coconut milk and things made from it, meh.

Stevia ruins everything.

No thanks on the nog. Hot chocolate made from almond milk and a heavy pour of 90 proof peppermint schnapps. In a to-go mug. On the streets looking at Christmas lights. That's how you do drink holiday style.

Coconut ice cream is the best! Flounce!!

If you want to get all fancy Gosling's Black Seal is supergood but kind of spendy. Bacardi or anything halfway decent will do as long as it's the dark stuff; just not that gross Captain Morgan rubbish with spices, etc., already added to it!

I think I have a new holiday tradition now.

A good all purpose rum is the Cruzan single barrel aged, IMO.
