I forgot that I have an unopened bag of vegg in my pantry. What should I make?! I'm not wild about tofu scramble, but do miss eggy stuff such as egg in a hole, souffle (impossible?), French toast, and omelettes.

It's the first recipe I ever learned, at 10 in school in England. You basically butter a piece of bread, cut a hole in the middle with a drinking glass, throw it on a frying pan, then crack an egg and throw it in the hole with maybe some salt/pepper/paprika if you are fancy. It sounds disgusting, I know, but it was kind of magical when I was a kid.

I think they called it something less dirty in England, but when I came back to Canada it was egg-in-a-hole.

That looks really interesting. I'm going to try it to see if it really taste like a real egg. A beginner vegan here.

I made french toast twice with it. The first time, I didn't read the package, and soaked the bread a good long time in the
blender-mixed Vegg. Don't do that. (And it tells you not to). It was a soggy mess that never set up.

But. The next time I just barely dipped the bread in the mixture, and it was pretty great. Very much like french toast I remember from before. But holey crepe is this stuff pricey! I bought it online, thinking I was gonna get more in the package. So that's twice I didn't read about the product. I did really like it, though.

Huh. I never heard of this before. It sounds like that wouldn't really work with the Vegg. Or maybe it would with some tofu and the vegg? I dunno.

Eggs in a basket are awesome - they're just fried eggs on toast with half the eating work done for you already. I think a tofu based pourable omelet recipe would work best for that application, with maybe a dollop of Vegg in the middle for yolkiness.

Another vegg sandwich! Woooooooo!
I want to maybe try out a vegan omelette using it, but I'm not sure if i like it. I only ever had the real omelette twice in my life and after both times, vaguely remember enjoying it at the time but the following day I felt like I was going to be sick. Maybe eggs sit a little heavy.

When I was younger my parents called it "toad in a hole" and my sister and I thought they were saying "toes in a hole" so I grew up calling it toes in a hole.

It would work with the Vegg. You may just need to add a bit of flour to it or something. They have recipes on their website to make vegg spherical.
