No. I did have a hippie mother but no hippie-like name. I did know a girl in college whose name was Summer and I think her sister was Spring.

I knew a Winter and an Autumn. I guess that rounds out that naming scheme.

I have a chemistry test in 15 minutes. I know I should go and just suffer through, but we get to drop one test score, and I have not had/made any time to study for it. I know this isn't necessarily the right thing to do, but the last month has been this giant stress-monster, and I just wanted to avoid putting myself through the torment of 3 hours of staring at an exam filled with material that I just do not know.

I would go just to see the questions, material, and test format. Those can all help, you for the next one.

I got my first Adjunct Professor Evaluation! All positive! The evaluator was super impressed! I guess I DO know what I'm doing when I teach.
Getting that email made an otherwise dreadful day end very well. Yay me.

I will never get tired of that panicked/indecisive look on my cat's face as she tries to figure out if she wants to go after the bug that just flew by, or if she wants MORE to remain in her comfy napping spot.

It is the defining existential crisis of her life.

In Austin, donuts from Red Rabbit Bakery Co-operative are available Thursday-Sunday at multiple locations including Wheatsville. Wholefoods also has vegan donuts, but they aren't as good.

I dunno about Dallas.

Fred's band played SXSW last year, and we stayed at our friends' house a couple blocks away from Wheatsville. We had Red Rabbit donuts and buffalo popcorn tofu every day (seriously). The band is playing again this year, and the major reason I'm tagging along is to eat donuts all week. So very, very ridiculously good. Actually, all the food in Austin was pretty killer.

Chicago has vegan yeasted donuts at Fritz Pastry in Lakeview and their sister shop, Wormhole in Wicker Park. They're pretty awesome, but no Red Rabbit.

I have a cold and feel like crepe. Ideas? Can't stay home from work; don't have any leave. :(

Beyond tired this morning. I stayed out until 2am. My cousin is back from America so I went to meet her for "one" drink. I spent the whole night dying laughing. I came home with a pain in my jaw and my sides. Definitely good for my mood.

I have the same thing and I got it visiting friends in VA. I am declaring an epidemic, obviously you can't infect further people! (Or if you like, can you work at home? Or take plenty of cold medicine and pretend like you are working)

I am having such an awesome time these months. It like my life switched gears and is now running so much faster and fuller. I went from years of get up - go to work - come home - cook - read on the couch - maybe see bf for a game of cards - sleep at 11pm to the last three months of being out almost every night, seeing tons of new people, doing loads of new activities, and being really behind with all my books. But I'm having a great time! And I love my guys <3

I've finally had a tofu omelette. I can't get over how like an egg omelette it is! It was fantastic. I have a feeling I will be obsessed with them.

I have a serious case of the pre menstrual hungries! Ugh, it's taking all my willpower not to stop off at GreenWay on the way home for one of their kebab wraps... I have perfectly fine refrigated casserole leftovers! And soup! BUT I WANT more CARBS.
I'm trying to limit my money on eating out here belly, please shut up.

I'm in the same boat. I'd kill for sugar right now but I need to lay off it big time because I can't stop once I start on it.

Story of my week. Once I start with sugar, I'm ravenous and need more more more. It's horrible because then I feel so ill!

In Dallas, it's a place called Donut Palace, where all the donuts are egg- and dairy-free for allergy reasons.
