These came today and I plan on wearing them every chance I get. When I opened the box, I was bummed. The description said they were vegan, but the heel and platform really look like stacked leather and I almost boxed them back up without trying them on. Fortunately, it's some kind of hard rubber.

I don't tend to wear glittery shoes, but... Iron Fist makes me covet everything they make! And I've been on a bootie kick lately. I want these.

Is there anything as funky as Iron Fist (not necessarily the same) but fair labor? I am attempting to buy more things that have been made fairly.

does anyone own the vegan ugg boot from Vegetarian Shoes (the Snug Boot) and know about sizing? I have some VS stuff and usually go for a 41 or 42 european, but I am wondering if these run big.

I have the Snug but I have no idea what size they were, I'll have a look tonight. I know I bought the size I normally buy and they're fine to wear with either thin or thick socks, the fluffy lining is very forgiving. They're probably the only item of footwear I have ever bought that I could put on straightaway and be comfortable enough to walk a long time in.

These http://www.pennangalan.co.uk/boots/FW242.php are on their way right now... their custom made vegan shoes take forever though. They're appropiately expected to arrive in december. Can't wait to wear them, I'm going to look like some kind of mix between a black metal chick and a forest faerie!

Helix wrote: Yay! Thank you for making it possible to both look good and be cruelty free :D<3 It took the owner forever to even think about synth material. Then Demonia started creating knock-offs so I guess that pushed them. I always would be on the goth boards begging for vegan big boots! I still have some of my old gear though I cannot walk in platforms any longer!

Hahaha, in Sweden we call people that wear platforms "Synthare" (=cyber goth), so wearing synth shoes is very appropiate ;)
Oh gawd, sometimes I wish I was born a decade or so earlier, just to get the oppurtunity to exeperience the first synth wave...

I was around when the cyber-goths started getting popular. I even interviewed Dane clothing when I worked for Gothic Beauty....

From ASOS. I'm not thrilled with the quality of the shoes I've bought from them before, but learning from your experiences is for chumps so I'll probably get these anyway.
