I just went through all 12 pages of this thread :) The husband and I will be visiting his parents in Tabernacle NJ for xmas. Looks like it's in the middle of nowhere and my guess is vegan options are limited.

We will probably make a couple trips to Philly which I know is full of options. Otherwise it looks like our best bets are at least 30-60 minutes away at The Pop Shop, Via Roma, and Wildflower Cafe. Any other suggestion for southern NJ?

the pop shop is in collingswood. (10 minutes from philly. and 2 minutes from me.) wildflower is a good 40 minutes even further south.

but no. south jersey's philly suburbs are kinda shiitake-y. might as well go into philly. (that's probably why the restaurants on the jersey side keep failing. because people might as well go over the bridge and go to a fully vegan place than to the questionable places over here.) we used to have a singapore, but that closed. (the philly one is still around) and then we had the green house, but the owner's english wasn't very good, and i wasn't sure that what we were ordering was vegan, and honestly, wasn't as tasty as new harmony. the tortilla press in collingswood is okay, but they fry their tortillas in comingled oil, so if that's an issue for you, they'll give you cucumber slices.

Oh no I hope that awesome vegan ice cream place on Asbury Park boardwalk is ok.

I just checked Jason's Pizza cafe in Pt. Pleasant and they're OK. Phew.

I didn't know there was a vegan ice cream place in Asbury Park. Hope it comes back! We were very concerned about the Silverball Pinball Museum...glad to hear they are cleaning up and focused on reopening as soon as possible.

Yeah its called Eddie Confetti (it isn't all vegan but they do always have a selection of coconut-based flavors, and they are soooo good). I just googled but couldn't find any info about how they fared after Sandy.

I googled Kaya - they made it ok! Phew. A bit of damage but nothing unmangeable. Looks like they had a free buffet all last week too, which is really nice.

We had vegan gelato at the Baci location in Garden State Plaza Mall in Paramus. It was really good! There also is a location at the Limelight on Avenue of the Americas.
