I know! I've majorily cut back on sugar and in the few days I've noticed such a huge difference in myself. I have a bit more energy and I'm not as bloated. I had gone to the stage where I was comfort eating though and it was causing me to put on weight and it mad me more miserable. I was eating so much that I was constantly dying with reflux. It was horrible.

Saying that..... I'm still looking forward to my skittles and oreo feast in a few days time!

There's a leaf blower dude outside my (windowed) back door and he is scaring the shiitake out of my cat. Shame on him. Aww, she just retreated to on top of the refrigerator.

Hahaha! Oh don't start me off on them! I bought a bag of them one day thinking "oh great I will get a few days out of these." They were gone by the time I got home.

If you are going to bring your 4 year old to your hour long Dr's appt would it not make sense to bring something for her to do? And not dump her on the receptionist (me) with limited resources to keep said child happy? I was able to find a few kids books we had packed away but it also mean I got nothing done for 45 minutes and now I am exhausted since children stress me out. People assume that because I am good with kids that I like them.

Why wouldn't they just take their kid in with them? That seems really bizarre to me to assume receptionist = free babysitter.

People used to try to do this all the time at the piercing studio I worked at. Even when I'd tell them that I would not be watching them & that they're essentially deciding to leave the kid unattended in a public place they'd assume that really I meant that I would, erm no, it's a really busy shop, I actually cannot keep an eye on your kid.

I went out for team lunch today, but it was a working lunch, so I basically didn't get a break. It got crazy hectic, so I was shattered at the end of the day. Also, Mike is in Aberdeen. This is the first time he's been away from home for more than a night since we got married (over 3 years ago). So I have the flat to myself. I get to watch stuff without my headphones and make food he doesn't like. It's gonna be great!

You guyssss, there is an article of vegan recipes with some ppk recipes on BuzzFeed right now! And no awful comments about vegans yet! That is pretty cool.

They did a miniature election at the school I work at (K-8) and ALL The kids voted (5 year olds and up!), plus the staff. Apparently Obama won the popular vote but Romney won the electorate. Yeah, we did a simulation of the electoral college. YOU try explaining that to kindegarteners! Anyway, I'm hoping this isn't a predictor of the real results.

Merrrrr I made the mistake of looking at an ex's Facebook page and now I feel all weird and stressed. Combined with election stress and yuck. Bad choices tonight,I guess. Back to eating little pickles and watching the polls

Eew, I did the same thing last week (with two exes!) Learned weird things that I didn't really want/need to know and can't just talk about them with someone to clear them out of my head because that would mean admitting that I was fb stalking people. :/

Between my coworker not showing up to take over and delayed public transport, I didn't even have time (no time for fast food takeaway, hmm!). But it might still happen this week. Oh yes.

I went swimming with my ex last night, we had decided that we would stay friends and do stuff together, but apparently he (again) changed his mind and now doesn't want to see me again. I'm so over these tactics! Make up your mind already! I don't care either way, but back and forth is not my thing. So, from now on, I won't contact him again. His loss :)

Then I had an awesome rest of the evening with a bf, and today the great election news, all in all life is great!

Pumpkin bread + maple butter sammiches would be so awesome right now.

I have registration frustration. Registration for the next semester just opened up. I had all of my classes perfectly planned out weeks ago. But three of them require department approval, and another one requires two departments' approval! And two of those require an online coordinator's approval to allow me to take the online section! So I'm actually registered for two classes, placeholder registered for one of the online classes, and waiting to hear back on some emails before I can get the rest of them locked in. Then I can finally submit my graduation packet.

Oh, nevermind most of that. It turns out I can't read and I was trying to register for the wrong sections of the right classes. And then I replied back to a lady about one class when she was talking about a different one. I'm completely discombobulated.

Every time I'm so amazed at the wonders food can do for my mood. I was feeling straight up horrible today. Then I made a really spicy udon stir fry for dinner and now I feel so much better. Fascinating.

Ugh I did this the other day too. Worst idea.

I'm feeling particularly mushy-cutesy about my boyfriend lately. I don't know how I feel about this.

My Belgian colleague brought me a jar of Chocolate Speculoos from when she went home for the weekend. It's half gone already.

I spoke for Take Your Kids To Work Day and nailed it. The kids asked me about my tattoos afterwards which was funny.
