storing baked goods

I need to make muffins for a long weekend get together. How can I keep the muffins fresh for 3 or 4 days!

freeze them in smaller batches and thaw them for an hour before you eat!

I think they'd stay relatively fresh in the fridge. I made a birthday cake for my mum on Sunday. We just ate the last of it today, four days later, and it was still almost as good as when it was freshly baked.

I'd wrap them really well and freeze them just to be safe.

If you don't have freezer access during your long weekend, you can simply store them in an airtight container right after they've baked and cooled down.

Yeah, freezer is best. Muffins will start to go a bit stale after 3 or 4 days otherwise.

If freezing isn't an option, can you make loaves of quick bread instead? A nice moist banana bread will stay fresh for 3 or 4 days I think.

Oh yeah: stick half an apple in there, cut side up, to humidify...
