I got a phone call and missed half the show- did we find out what's going on with Jeremy and hunter dude's tattoo?

Also, why would Elena be rejecting blood like she is? Isn't Katherine also a doppelganger? She seems fine, although she probably hasn't tried taking blood from anywhere but directly out of a person.

I liked when Stefan and Caroline were talking and he was like, "You're just so good at being a vampire". That was sweet. And she is!

I'm going to watch it again, but I hate watching on the CW site (buggy), so I have to wait for hulu.

Jeremy can see the tattoo, because he's got potential as a vampire hunter. BUT Klaus said that since he has the tattoo, he must be one of "the five."

I dunno what's up with Elena rejecting non-human blood. Probably a way to make it so her character won't go the boring route. She's way more interesting as a blood-sucking vamp.

YOU GUYS... I loved when Elena was looking for booze and Damon led her to his underwear drawer and then took off some clothes and asked if she was going to stay and watch. WHY DIDN'T SHE?!

At least he's her teacher now! Get it, girl

OOh! Good call! I couldn't figure out why Klaus is interested in them both. I was thinking that maybe the 5 are somehow connected to the originals?

I was thinking that he could be linked to werewolf originals or something and could be one of Klaus' relatives

hello, i'm the slow girl who just realized that stefan and meredith are married IRL. (and just remembered/learned that ian and nina are dating irl)

It took me awhile to realize that Matt Davis - who plays Alaric, is the same actor who played Warner in Legally Blonde. I hated that character!

Wow, I did not make that connection! Warner sucked; I loved Alaric.

Paul Wesley is obviously way older than 17 (like 30, I think?), but his character being 17 makes it so weird to me to hear about him being married. Stefan can't have a wife.

It killed me in the most recent episode when they all went to school. WHY ARE THEY STILL GOING TO SCHOOL? Elena doesn't even have any parents and Stefan is like 170 years old.

Elena said something about not wanting to miss her senior year. She has been through so much change and loss, and the routine of classes could be a kind of stability she needs. No idea why Stefan is going to school, maybe he just wants to be around to protect Elena.

Just watched ep 2, Stefan is HOT.

April reminds of Georgina from Gossip Girl, so part of me already dislikes her. Love the bickering btw Stefan and Damon, they crack me up.

Oh and the end made me cry. I hope Ghost Alaric returns.

Watching ep 3, Stefan is HOT and I wish they'd stop interrupting him and Elena, let them get it on already!

Damon and Klaus are a highly entertaining team!

Yes! First she has to go throw up, then it's like, "Hang on, I think I might die". I don't know what you're trying to say, TVD writers, but I do not like it! Hopefully we get a little happy Elena/Stefan time, especially if they're going to bring Damon back into the mix.

I don't know if his tattoo is from anyone. I think that the hunter had said that he got his own first tattoo a day after meeting a hunter, so I'm guessing it was because that hunter died right after he met him and it was passed on to him?

If Elena is only sired to Damon because she had feelings for him when she was human, what's the problem? I get that he wants her to love him for real, but she DID. That's the whole point. And if the unsiring involves ordering her to stop caring about him and then leaving, doesn't that make it impossible for them to ever be together? I'm annoyed at this being the "solution."
