Not together necessarily (if that's even available). What are your favorite user-friendly, reliable web hosts with the best bargain? Unlimited data, emails, multiple domains package deals a plus. Also, what are your favorite places to hold your data? We had one at school that is only open to students in the comp sci classes that I am not a part of (but would love to be).
The sites are pretty simple. Just want to lock in the names for now though.

Those are great but truthfully the subject matter won't always be vegan. I of course am. The site will be a seperate thing entirely and may run the gammett, over which I don't want to exercise those restrictions.

Probably too late, but namecheap.com is a large but respectable company for domains. Godaddy has some pretty sexist advertising, shady upsells, and supported SOPA. I switched all domains over to namecheap and happy with them.
I've heard relatively good things about dreamhost for shared hosting but can't recommend based on personal experience (I use vps/dedicated).

On the other hand, we try to be responsible in the products that we consume. Why not extend that practice everywhere?

For hosting I'd recommend: http://www.inmotionhosting.com/Why? Honestly, because I've known/know several employees and they all gush about how they love their workplace and feel they're treated well. Which honestly, I'm more likely to want to support a company that treats their employees well, it tends to spread to the customers.. (I do not work there, although tempted to apply at some point)

dreamhost has been really good for me. basic hosting includes a domain name and unlimited bandwidth and disk storage. it's pretty easy to create new databases, and i've found them to be very user-friendly in general. their monthly newsletters also make me chuckle (much love for friendly tech folks with a sense of humor!).

How does Dreamhost fit in with Wordpress? I would like to have a website but don't want one that ends up with "wordpress" in the middle of the name. I was thinking of taking a class on how to start a website, but the only class I could find in my area uses Wix and Wix have some pretty spotty reviews. I have Web Design for Dummies but I am hesiitant to start without a better idea of what I'm doing. Has anyone got any suggestions?
