Clearly another example of the poor quality of food that vegan children eat! She looks very serious.
Love Carlos voting! I think you should get more than a sticker for a 2.5 hour wait with a baby..yike!

I can't believe how much hair Leela has! Everyone always comments about how much hair Carlos has, but she takes the cake! And the muffin, apparently. How cute.
As for the voting, I thought my hubby was going to pick him up, but it turned out he had a concert. At least he was able to stop by and change him for me. And he brought me food and water and gave me a bathroom break. I was very motivated to vote for my own reasons, but also my hubby would have been super disappointed if I didn't because as a non-citizen, he is not able to vote. He should be able to vote in the next presidential election and is very much looking forward to having that right.

Oooh, I'm so behind. Sierra is adorable and I love her chubby face! Carlos is a rock star baby for making in that long... was he in his seat the whole time?! I can't remember who I'm forgetting, but keep the cuties coming!

I held him while I fed him. Luckily he had a leftover bottle from daycare, because I can see no feasible way for me to have nursed him. I am very uncomfortable nursing in public, find it unbelievably difficult to nurse standing (I managed once with a carrier but I didn't even have it with me) and can't fathom nursing while walking in a line! I had to pump that evening because somehow he managed to stay asleep on the transfer to the crib. He already has an early bedtime and the time change made it even worse, so he was pretty exhausted. So... Maybe 1/2 hour in the stroller, 1/2 hour holding and feeding, 1 hour awake in the stroller and last 1/2 hour asleep in the stroller. He did amazingly well considering!

This picture is more than 5 years old, but I just came across it tonight, and it might be one of my favorite things ever.

that picture captures one of my fears about having a boy baby....I am really not about the creepy crawlies but I totally wouldn't want to pass on such a trait to my kiddo. I will have to suck it up and not run shrieking away from every bug I see!

I was ALWAYS playing with bugs as a little girl. I had pet worms, pet beetles, pet spiders... Oh yeah, my mom *loved* it.

I once had a babysitting job where I was supposed to help a toddler get over his fear of bugs. His mother would always shriek and jump when she saw a bug, and he picked that up. His father noticed and wanted it to stop, but telling a two-year-old "stop being scared" isn't all that productive. So my mom told them that I could probably work with him, since I was babysitting him a few days a week anyway. We'd go outside and I'd start out with, "Look at that bug! Isn't it cool how it gets all scrunched up when it walks?" and we looked at the different kinds of bugs we could find and talked about how they looked different and moved differently from each other, and slowly progressed to learning about how potato bugs curl up if you poke them, and eventually, got him comfortable with picking up a caterpillar and examining it as it crawled on his hand. I got paid a ton of extra money for that one (I was about 16 at the time), and it was really fun.

refinnej, that is so funny! The other day we went outside to play with the soccer ball and Malka just wanted to be held so Mr. A and I were kicking the ball back and forth and every time we kicked the ball she just laughed uproariously like she had never experienced something so amusing in her life - a real belly laugh that would turn into a breathless cackle, it was just amazing. Don't know what was so amusing about it!

So adorable, refinnej! poopiebaby made me play it twice, he was cracking up the whole time he watched it. I loved Freya's serious poopin' face.

Had a nice evening with the tiny dude the other day. First we went out and picked up some chicks. Then we fell asleep.
