Is Angry Orchard sweet? I'm not a big cider drinker, but I like the idea of it. I got the Woodchuck pumpkin, and it is WAY to sweet for me. I like a little bit of it, but a whole bottle makes my fillings hurt.

I am not fancy. I've liked most ciders I've tried but Woodchuck granny smith is my favorite for at home. I prefer a little tartness.

Speaking of, I just got a sampler pack of Angry Orchard, so I'll report back. I don't remember which variety I've tried so far - whatever kind the convenience store sold - and it was pretty sweet for me.
I've enjoyed Woodchuck apple ciders on tap before, but the Fall variety was not for me. My sister and I picked up a variety 6 pack a few weeks ago and there was just too much going on and it was way too sweet. I can't remember the last time I couldn't make it through a cider....ever.

I really like Woodchuck Fall cider but can understand not liking it. I was describing it to a friend, and my description was something along the lines of "It's good after you get over the fact that it tastes like you're drinking a Yankee Candle," and he was like, "How do you get over the fact that you're drinking something that tastes like a Yankee Candle?!" . . . My alcohol tastes definitely lean toward anything sickeningly sweet.

I've never had hard cider before, and I'm from Pennsylvania, the land of weird liquor laws. Where would I have best luck finding some? The wine and spirits store, or the beer store?

My favorites are either Crispin or the Woodchuck Granny Smith hard cider. They kind of remind me of white wine, and I find I like them much better than beer. In fact, I have some Woodchuck in the refrigerator right now and plan on drinking it this weekend.
For those of you in Tampa metro, Rollin Oats in St. Petersburg, has a small but decent selection of hard ciders with their beers.

Carlton Cyderworks is another Oregon brand that I've seen with "Vegan" on the label. http://www.carltoncyderworks.com/I've enjoyed the Carry Nation, and recently tried their new peach offering. Very tasty but quite sweet. I've now tried all 3 Angry Orchards (that I've seen) and my favorite is the dry.

Not sure if you get 'em across the pond, but all Westons' ciders are vegan. Stowford Press is on tap alot over here, and it's pretty good, but I really like their Wyld Wood variety, which is also organic and yummy.

I love that there's a cider called Carrie Nation. I think if I ever dress up for Halloween again I'll go as Carry Nation and just smash things with a hatchet.

I'm in love with Woodchuck, especially the ginger (which I think was seasonal over the summer). The only other brand I've tried is Angry Orchard, because they had a ginger one too, and I disliked it so much I've been hesitant to try anything else. It tasted too much like apple juice with alcohol added to it, instead of fermented apple cider or whatever. I'd like to try Fox Barrel Cider, which I just saw for the first time this weekend.

It's certified organic, and delicious. I am not just saying that. :) This is not meant to be spammy or cause any personal gain for myself (I won't get anything!), but it is really good shiitake. It's so exciting that you work for Sea Cider. Kings & Spies is my very favorite cider. On the cheaper side I like the Angry Orchard Traditional Dry. The ginger was kind of horrible.
