Talking with this guy at a party tonight whom I've known for years but haven't really seen or chatted with since about three/four years ago. We see each other around Portland a lot and have some similar friends but it's always sort of this awkward 'Hey... how've you been? Cool..." thing, even though I've always thought he was amazing. Anyhow. He was at the same party I was tonight and we chatted a bunch and I think totally flirted? I think we were flirting! Well, I was flirting with him for sure anyhow. Fun.

Good Lard, this chem teacher has a cushy schedule today. One class for 90 minutes, then he is off for the next two periods and lunch, then final class at 12:30.
I'm actually already bored.

Swapping youtube song links with my lovely manfriend, he's making me swoon big style! He does in person too, sometimes I just go limp when he holds me, it's ridiculous and fabulous. I'm all a pitter patter for him, then every now and again I remember that he's VEGETARIAN!!! F'ck yeah!

Home safely! What a great week, but I am glad to be home. NYC is a bit of a madhouse! :) We loved it, though. Also, we met PPKers (Tofulish and Leela, Rachell37, RandiJM, kara kara, fauxfrancais, Jilly) who were all lovely. Also, as Tofulish noted above, I got mad Leela hugs and that was one of the best things of the week. What a snugglebum. <3<3<3

My BFF and I just sang 'baby it's cold out there' on repeat for about two hours. We even recorded ourselves a bunch of the times. Mariah Carrey and Jackson 5 may have also been involved.

The best thing about yesterday was the curried scrambled tofu I made for dinner. It's about to become the best thing about today when I have the leftovers for breakfast.

Oscar has gained 100 grams! He's back to being over a kilo in weight. I'm so relieved for the little chap, he seems to be getting better as he isn't being aggressive towards his brother so must be in less/no pain. Phew!

The best part of yesterday is that my roommate and I had a potluck and almost every friend who came went to the trouble to make something I could eat. I'm very newly vegan and would have been thrilled with just one other thing, in addition to the chocolate pumpkin dessert I made. But there was so much that was prepared specifically so I could enjoy it that I got full to the point of slight discomfort by the end of the night. And a whole bunch of omnies learned how to make delicious food work in a vegan way!
The best part of today (so far- it's still early) was the big bowl of leftover blueberry crumble with whipped coconut cream that I just had for breakfast.

My daughter is playing her ukelele again. She is teaching herself Christmas songs and we are all singing along. She took it downtown and is texting me everybody's reactions. It is fabulous!
