I just found this: http://web.archive.org/web/200812070717 ... opolis.aspThe deodorant I want to buy has the little "no animal testing/no animal ingredients" symbol on it. But I guess I'll have to check tomorrow before I buy it if it has propolis in it too. If it has the symbol, it should just mean it's vegan! Grrrr....

Jonny, I know that Tom's was bought out by a parent company that tests on animals. To my knowledge the ingredients of Tom's deos are vegan.

Tom's was purchased by Colgate, so some people avoid it. I think it's gray area. There's a deodorant thread here that really goes through many kinds pros and cons.

Mitchum and Certain Dri are vegan and definitely work. They're not herbal or anything though.

I'll vouch for Mitchum's effectiveness. And if you get the unscented kind, it doesn't smell, and your armpits don't smell, so your armpits essentially become odor blackholes.

Are you folks sure Mitchum's is vegan? The ones I saw in my local grocery store didn't say "vegan" or "not tested on animals" or anything. You'd think they'd advertise those qualities.

On the flipside, I've seen products that are labelled as having no animal byproducts that actually do (Desert Essence floss, I'm looking at you) so product packaging can definitely be misleading.

I switched to toms deodorant when ditching my non vegan deodorant a few months back. I know I stink on occasion (okay...a lot) but I love the smell of the tea tree oil. Any brands that work but smell similar? A lot of scents make me nauseous since having my youngest daughter. Weird I know.

I got Mitchum's Advanced Control and it was cheap and works great. I'm just not sure it's vegan. There's nothing definitive on the label or on Google that says whether it is or not. I trust you folks though. I just don't want my vegan super powers to fade.
