yeah, there's a big difference between rick killing a guy in a room with him who is an obvious immediate threat and the governor and his crew hunting down a bunch of people (who might have been a good distance off; who knows how far that helicopter flew before it crashed?) just to shoot them. "preemptive self-defense" is probably the line they'd use, but that doesn't mean it's valid. and if they believe it's defensible, why lie about it? if your worst offense is experimenting on people without their knowledge or consent, you are probably a person with zero ethics. but that's not his worst offense; he convinced people he wanted to help them and then murdered them with no regrets or second thoughts the instant they let their guard down. that's some cold shiitake.

I'm not saying it's valid, but the Gov wants to protect is little slice of heaven, I'm sure in his mind it's okay. He wants to start the second coming or something, at whatever cost. And some of the townspeople may not care, he's keeping them safe and providing for them, where else would they be? Or it's something in the ice for the special drinks keeping them happy.

I think also that Rick might have to be talked down in the future. I see a bit more shoot first and ask questions later after what that prisoner did leading to two (maybe three) deaths. He's getting a little unhinged himself.

i think those are people who died/got zombified? because it stopped with his daughter's name, and then he seemed to take a jack-torrance-esque turn.

It is interesting that the corpse was sitting there calmly. Maybe that is one of the things garage scientist is working on. A way to keep walkers subdued.

I think maybe the phone call Rick gets is a political robocall. "Vote Philip for Governor OR YOUR HEAD GOES IN THE FISH TANK!"

And that does make sense, that after his daughter everyone just became another "biter" and no longer needed a name. That's a fork ton of zombies, though!

ok, this is what's bothering me. if carl shot lori why did the zombie eat her? zombies don't eat dead people. are we supposed to think maybe she wasn't entirely dead? they kept showing that zombie in the background throughout the show last night and it was all i could think about.

I think we're just supposed to think that maybe zombies do eat dead people and we just found that out. Maybe because she was freshly dead and probably still warm when they ate her.

But I think we've already established that they eat dead people because of that one guy that was hanging from the tree in the first season and his legs were all eaten up.

My question is, why are the walkers no long attacking Michonne?

because she got the walker guts on her and now she smells like them. The group tried this back in season one. they covered themselves in blood and guts and were able to walk through a hoarde.

Why they haven't used that to their advantage since then is unknown.
