I bought Molly a toy, and even the cockatiel likes it. The macaw ignored it all day, but now will not go to bed until the scary new toy is removed. I could hear his melt down all the way downstairs.

Considering how easy going he is, he really has the oddest most random fits of cowardliness.

yeah I was going to say that would require an amazing amount of coordination.

So I always tend to get a reeeeallly itchy head after a day or two of not shampooing, like, drive me batty, rip my face off itchy. Well my BFF said she thinks that means I have dandruff! I was confused since I don't real get flakes that I knew of, but thinking about it, I do every now and again...

Anyways, so I bought a dandruff shampoo tonight. I'm super excited to use it tomorrow. It even says on there that it helps with itchy scalp! I didn't actually really realize this was not how scalps just were.

Bleh. So much to do today and a crappy night of insomnia.
Need. More. Sleep.

I legitimately am waiting for my hair to dry to I can drive to connecticut with a pie. it is 4am. MODERN LIVING IS REALLY COOL. I AM GOING TO SEE THE SUN RISE ON THE ROAD. FINALLY MY DREAM OF BEING IN A TRAVEL MONTAGE IS GOING TO COME TRUE.

I used to get an itchy scalp until I stopped using shampoos with sulfate cleansers. Just something to think about in case the dandruff shampoo doesn't work.

I am looking forward to going home tonight but hoping that the rain buggers off first! 2.5/3 hours on the motorway in the rain is not fun in my stupid car.

My tattoo artist broke his arm yesterday so now all of my appointments are cancelled. No narwhal tattoo for me today.

We are putting an offer in on a house today.

I went to bed at 9:20pm yesterday. It was glorious.
I am perfectly relaxed and able to cope with the insane amount of things that need to be done today. 1.5 weeks until vacation!

And I got a lovely lovely package with Amyfm last night! I am in nooch and liquid smoke heaven.

I wish my family were normal. I know that no family is completely "normal", but we seem to have emerged from the megalomaniac end of the gene pool. Half of them have never had to be in the real world, so it's very hard to reason with them when they just totally ignore everything that's said to them because they are automatically right about all things under all circumstances. Even when they've been caught contradicting themselves.

I am so scared that it will take me 5+ hours to get home today.

I made rocky road cookies last night for the work party today and they didn't firm up because I added too much soymilk by accident so I'm just sitting at my desk eating them all. It would be an EMBARRASSMENT to hand these out. I'm already concocting an elaborate plan to get out of the party.

I'm really freaking upset that one of my friends just had their work hours drastically cut. It's just such a shitty time to do that to him and there's nothing I can do to help.

The day before Thanksgiving, the after-school program I work for has a big turkey dinner (well, lunch) for the kids. Reeeeally not looking forward to work today.

I woke up at butts o'clock in the morning this morning to drive one of my best lady friends to the doctor for a small outpatient surgery. (I'll be picking her up later, too.) I dropped her at the doctor at 7AM and then drove to Whole Foods. I was in at 7:50AM and out by 8:30. When I left at 8:30, people were already camping for parking spaces. I'm so glad I went that early--not only was it really not crowded while I was there, but I also got the BEST produce. I picked through those brussels sprouts like a boss, yo.

Now my tiny studio fridge is overflowing with produce until I bring it all to my boyfriend's later. Then we'll drink and make pies. I love this time of year!

Ha, I sent my husband to WF last night, he was not pleased with me.

I was at WF last night too. I was all worried that they'd be out of canned pumpkin, but they had TONS.

I'm still scarred from those two years where there was a pumpkin shortage and the stores hoarded what little they got for the holidays. Now I rarely have less than a half dozen cans of pumpkin in my cupboards!
