Super talented! <3 I wore my (fourth Doctor) Doctor Who scarf to a race yesterday and found myself wondering if anyone was feeling as Doctory as I was this Holiday season. :)

I got gifted one of the 12 foot licensed Doctor Who scarves last month. Been wearing it pretty much daily, even when it not cold enough for it, I feel so awesomely dorky in it. I also watch old episodes with my toy sonic by my side just in case the Doctor needs a little help.

Haha, it's funny how often I hear that, and how many people ask if it's hard to cut (or watch someone else cut) a wedding or sculpted cake I spent hours and hours on. I guess I'm crazy, because I really enjoy the ephemeral nature of edible art. Sometimes it is hard to put so much work and love (and sometimes tears) into the things I make, only to watch them be destroyed in a few short seconds. But I kind of like knowing that it's temporary. If the things I made lasted forever, then I would have a chance to get tired of them, but I know that once I finish something and send it off, I'll never see it again. The effort has been purged from me, and I get to start on something new.

I'm really weird, I know.

It's totally not weird. When I read your statement, I thought of Andy Goldsworthy:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andy_Goldsworthy
http://www.kon.org/urc/v9/interconnecte ... binkly.pdf

"Time and the notion of being temporary are aspects of life that the environment and every human have in common. Time links all life...."

Apropos to Time Lords, the TARDIS and your ephemeral art, which must be eaten. :)
