Me too, but I'm unemployed and can't afford it. Maybe it'll still be around when I start working again.

So this is not as affordable as I'd usually go for, but I think it is gorgeous!

What about something like this? http://us.asos.com/Hybrid-Dress-With-Ba ... mUvUHJvZC8.

You should also try shopstyle, it searches across stores and you can filter by color and price.

So can anyone explain to me why they ask for your height on eshakti? Does it actually affect the length of the dress?
I want to get this dress that is "below knee length" and is proportioned for women 5'4" and taller (which I am not) and my legs are so short! I don't think I could explain that to them even with a custom size.

Yes, I do think that the height affects the length of the garment. Although, in my experience... they tend to run short. For instance, I thought that "knee length" means that the skirt would cover my knee caps but not go any lower, but two dresses that I tried in that length both came just to the top of my kness. It's just a matter of an inch or two, but was important to me.

HTH!

I can't really afford it, but I think I'm going to spring for this one. I've laid some professional drag for teaching this fall, but it's been ages since I had a pretty, frivolous new dress, and a girl has needs - right? - especially with holiday parties and stuff coming up!

I can't afford any of these but OMG I love Ruche. Sorry the photos are tiny. They make it hard to grab image URLs.

I think I'm going to buy this one...

This looks like a figure skater's costume and I'm probably too tall for the length, but I don't care, I like it.

I might actually buy this one too...

Phew. There are a lot of items on my wish list. And sorry again that the photos are ridic small.

I usually hate dresses but I think that dress is beautiful.

Did you all see the "Clothes made from vintage kids' sheets" post on BoingBoing?

If I could afford it, I'd wear the hell out of that She-Ra dress!

I'm pretty sure that's a perfect New Year's Eve dress, no matter what your plans may be. It's adorable. I'd get it!

It's a super cute dress, especially for $60!

Does Shabby Apple always fail to list all their fabrics? There's a ton of cute tweedy dresses up right now but I feel like most of them are probably wool blends. Some of them say it explicitly, but not all of them...

Ugh, I hate it when fiber content isn't listed. E-mail them!

I have to find a dress to wear to a party in a few weeks. I haven't dressed up in forever (and 20 pounds) so I'm thrown completely off. I probably need to actually try stuff on to see what works with my body now. Where do you guys go in person for pretty dresses? My town sucks and we don't have places like H&M, etc.

Ruche is my favourite shop. Everything fits true to size and the quality is there. And since you are in the US, you will get it much more quickly than I do! http://www.shopruche.com They have a wider range of sizes than most shops. Some of the stuff is pricy but you can find deals.

ETA, oops I did not notice the walk-in component.

Thanks vijita, I love ruche too, so many gorgeous clothes. I'm just paranoid about ordering this online and then not having time to exchange/find something else. Ill probably just tour the town and try on ll the dresses.

Five Bamboo has some of their stuff on sale! http://fivebamboo.com
I have one of their dresses and it's very flattering, plus I like how they are a bit more environmentally-friendly!

eShakti is giving a $25 gift certificate to new customers. I think there are some restrictions and it's only good for 3 weeks.
I was able to get this overstock dress for $20 including shipping.

Obviously not actually a dress but I bought this and I am pretty outrageously excited for it to get here.
