Hey there! Haven't posted in quite some time. There's a refer a friend free trial coming up for Guild Wars 2 and I have an invite left. My roommate (also vegan / PPK lurker) also has all 3 of his invites left if anyone's interested. I'll have him post in this thread as well. Feel free to PM either of us and we'll update you all when we're out of invites. Inviting requires an e-mail address. Thanks!

I know. I feel like I pretty much own everything that I could want, with some small exceptions like DLC (Skyrim) and the games on my wishlist, which are mostly games I own in some other form. At this point, I'm more excited to see the sale meta-game than the sale itself.

I will be looking for some small games that look cool but that I don't want to buy for full price, or for things I'd missed. I'll buy a lot of games at 2 bucks a pop...

New deals! MBM and I were looking at them and she said that everyone who wants Portal 2 already has it. I tried to prove her wrong by setting who has it on their wishlist. The answer is no one. 28 of my friends own Portal 2 and no one has it on their wishlist, so I guess she's right.
I've heard plenty of good things about Sleepy Dogs.
I bought the XCOM game from yesterday's deals... I've heard a lot of good things about it.
me to. I feel a lot of good things about it so far.

Do you know what I can not-recommend? Inversion. It's $9.99 right now on flash sale. It's not very good. It is Gears of War, with some weird gravity tricks. That might sound kind of cool, but it's poorly executed. If you ever played TimeShift, which was also disappointing, this was made by the same developer. I don't often tell people not to play a game, but don't play Inversion.

Also, Prototype 2 for $19.99 isn't a very good deal when compared to the pack of Prototype 1, Prototype 2, and the Prototype 2 DLC for $9.99 that Amazon was selling last week, which were all Steam redeemable. I don't know if that deal is going to come back but, considering that Prototype 2 is pretty much just Prototype 1 with a different protagonist that plays pretty much the same way the Prototype 1 protagonist plays, that one is totally a pass.
I'm with you on Max Payne 3. I absolutely loved Max Payne 2. It is a fantastic game. I have not been impressed by anything I've read about Max Payne 3. I'm not sure I've even read anything about it that indicated it was any better than a mediocre third-person shooter.

So uh I spent about six hours yesterday playing Farming Simulator 2013. Much of that was with the boy watching and telling me which tractor to drive, which was pretty fun. Then after he went to sleep I started a new game and I harvested me some grain yo. And sold it. FOR A PROFIT.
I will probably sell a bunch of older tractors and buy a front-end loader today so I can take up some lucrative fetch missions.

If you don't already own Deus Ex: Human Revolution, I don't know if I can help you. But it's only $4.99 for the 100000th time. More than one person has compared it favorably to a western made Metal Gear Solid. Does that tempt you?
Also, Hotline Miami!!!!!!! Seriously, it's $4.99. Buy it to listen to the soundtrack.
