Jillian Michaels Kickbox Fastfix levels 1 and 2, so about 40 minutes of cardio. Also did NMTZ on Wednesday and Thursday. My goal is to lose the 7 pounds I gained this summer from not wanting to work out in the heat and to get more toned and stronger in general. I'll probably mostly be doing my Jillian tapes -- 30 Day Shred, No More Trouble Zones, Kickbox Fastfix, Yoga Meltdown, or Banish Fat Boost Metabolism.

12km run this morning. It was a great one: quick pace, great weather, nice company.
I'm headed to a 1.5hour yin-yang yoga class later this evening. One of my running pals suggested it as a good class for runners. I shall report back.

I was on the treadmill for half an hour earlier this evening. I was doing this rolling hills preset workout and MAN was it tough. I had to gear down on the incline and speed a couple of times, but I challenged myself to try and make it through half of one uphill set without adjusting the settings and I managed to do that for one set. I guess my goal this winter should be to see if I can do the whole workout without adjusting the settings by the spring so I'll be ready for outdoor running again and maintain (maybe surpass!) my fitness. Goals to work toward!

Today was going to be another double workout, but the weather got the best of me. So just P90X shoulders and arms plus a runner's core workout I made up.

Half an hour on the treadmill. Did a slightly easier hills workout and challenged myself to finish without adjusting the speed at all when I started getting winded (I would trend down if I had to--I've been regularly exercising a long time so I am familiar with my limits) and I really wanted to lose some speed and drop some incline at the toughest points of exertion, but I kept pushing and finished successfully! But my goal is still to finish a more challenging hilly/incline work out with the speed set at 5 (Today, after warming up, I kept the speed at 4.5 the whole time).

A few jump squats while standing in my kitchen. Maybe a walk later. Today is a lazy day, for the most part.

15 minute "race facilitation" run - just an easy run with 4x:30 pickups to get those muscles firing. Tomorrow is race day!

4 miles isn't measly!
I did glute bridges, cleans, one handed KB swings, squats, dips, crunches, reverse lunges, high pulls and planks.
