YAY! Who's stoked?! I am! I put out some bitchin' white LED lights around our front window, and I'll be making a wreath for my front door soon!

Also, caroling? Totally starts now.

I'm stoked. Need to find the Christmas lights.

I was stoked until half of my LED lights didn't work when I pulled them out of the attic. And they're only a few years old! So far no luck fixing them either. Now I'm just annoyed.

My front yard looks totally lame with just 1 bush out of four covered in lights and 1 poor snowman.

Molly and the macaw are all ready with their shiny red and green feathers. (Molly's tail is red)

I don't know why I love Christmas.

Is it the gingerbread?

OH YEAH! I'm stoked for gingerbread. NOM.

I had my first cup of mulled wine on Friday and am looking forwards to finding the glühwein bar on the Christmas market. Our decorations will be going up next weekend and we were just discussing where to put the colour changing fibre optic tree.

OK this thread made me focus on the positive. Here's a photo of last year, somehow I'll figure out how to fix it...

I found frozen roll-out vegan gingerbread dough at Ikea yesterday (what?! I'm not above frozen gingerbread!) and I'm totally making gingerbread animal-shaped cookies today. And putting up fairy lights. Bring it OOOON.

Ooh I want that! My son has been watching this gingerbread man video over and over again (catch me if you can!) so I definitely want to make gingerbread men this year even though I normally don't. Pre-made dough would be awesome.

Oh dude! Roll out dough sounds awesome.

The last two years we haven't decorated or really done much of anything because I was in school & highly stressed, even over break. Directly correlating to that, we were also broke. This year I will be making merry like a muthafucker. Bring on the Jager and tinsel, says I. And lets not forget to break out VCIYCJ- my neighborhood & coworkers will be inundated with delicious cookies.

Also, my birthday is the 17th. I love December!

it's OMG here because it's finally getting WARM!!!! thank gawd.

also, i get to make cookies for people, which always makes them super happy. this year i'll make marmalade too. and i get to put together christmas baskets for our employees, which also is great fun.

So stoked! We hung our wreath up the other day (it's this one), I started working on my Christmas playlist, and I can't wait to get our tree in a couple of weeks. Lights are going up all over our neighborhood and it's lovely.

It was only a matter of time until someone got the Christmas hater thread mixed up with the lover thread.

I'm so happy it's not snowing in Boston. They said it didn't snow at all here last year. I'm hoping we'll have no snow until Christmas Eve and then get dumped with five feet which will completely disappear after New Years.

Now this is the thread I belong in.

I'm pretty excited about Christmas because I love giving people gifts. I mean, I do it at other times in the year, if I see something I think someone will really like, but Christmas is an extra excuse. I have some presents for my boy, which I think he'll really dig.... but I have to wait a whole month to give them. Wah!

There are aspects of this time of year that aren't so great, also, but thems for the other thread.

Nog! Also, my amazing, reusable, "FAKE" tree.

I love Christmas! I shouldn't really, because I'm super curmudgeonly about other things, but I really love giving presents. Also I was visiting my family in Germany for Christmas last year, and snowy Christmas doesn't seem like the real thing to me. I'm due for a hot one where I eat too much and then float around in my parents' pool surrounded by beer.

I'm going to start making some of my presents next week (after this exam that I should be studying for) and I'm super excited! I'm making a ton of jams and a recipe book for my parents, and a Breaking Bad cross stitch for my brother. And possibly other things if I can think of good stuff! WOO CHRISTMAS .

I think I've finally just learned to totally tune out Christmas in stores before I'm ready for it. It used to peas me off that it just came earlier and earlier every year and now I manage to ignore it so that I can love Christmas when I'm ready for it. Shopping for biker boy is stressing me out but other than that... OMG Christmas!

Been listening to my Christmas playlist for a week and we are on our third box of nog! Hell yes Christmas! Twinkly lights, sparkles, sweaters, caramel corn, cookies, snuggling, bring it all on.
