Well, I found the Organix carrot sticks and they didn't taste like Wotsits to me at all. They reminded me slightly of the little packets of Tangy Toms we used to be able to buy at school. Had a nice crunchy texture, but I have other crunchy crisps I like the taste of better. Oh well.

This is *not* a recommendation, unfortunately - I thought I'd discovered the Mornflake Chocolatey Squares re-packed as the Aldi own brand Choco Pillows, as they have nearly identical ingredients (and were cheaper), but they were a lot drier and had a weird after-taste. Be warned. Sad face.

Sorry to disappoint, it's been quite a few years since I had wotsits and to me the organix tasted super cheesey :s

These are seasonal, but I've just discovered that Dobson & Sons Spooky Mega Lollies are suitable for vegans. The only potentially dodgy ingredient was the E153, and I've confirmed with the company that it's vegetable based. They obviously won't be around for long, but at least we know that their other stuff will have veg-based E153! I've not actually had any yet, but they have flavours like pumpkin pie, marshmallow, and toffee apple, so one of them is bound to be good!

Dunno if it's already been said - I'm way too lazy to read 19 pages of thread - but Co-op own brand donuts (jam and custard, NOT chocolate) are totally a-ok.

No, but I've been in their shop! :) It's a 5 minute drive from my house and right next to the beauty wholesalers where I get supplies from! It's pretty awesome but expensive. They have sour patch kids too.

Oh now that is cool! I found one in Ireland but she has no shop just deliveries. It costs €7.50 to send a €4.50 bottle of liquid smoke. Think I will just wait it out until my friend is coming home at Christmas to bring me a bottle.

Oh, maybe I just got a duff batch then. I think I'd rather pay the extra 30p or so than risk it again though.

I know we've already talked about Wham bars, but I've finally had my 1st (and 2nd). I don't know if the Brew flavour is available in England (since I assume from the name, colour and flavour that it's based on Irn Bru), but it's great!

The doughnuts were on Co-op's Jan 2012 vegan list, but I've been told they're not on the October 2012 list... Trying to get hold of it from Co-op as they don't put it on their website.

Do other people have Home Bargains? I get lots of stuff there really cheaply. Anyway I noticed today they have a bottle of creamy salad dressing that looks accidentally vegan.

yeah, home bargains/quality save and BM bargains can be sources of much bargain joy for me!
currently, BM bargains has marmite XO for £1.79 (it's normally £3.99 a jar!)

every now and then, quality save has clif bars for 29p each too...

not seen them for a while now (about 6-9 months?) but yeah, they were short date choc chip original clif bars. last year i bought about a dozen; one of the mountain bike racers i know bought an entire box from his local branch!
i'll post on here as soon as they get them in again.

Yep, my local one had soy life milk for 29p a carton the other day...29p! Madness.

I'm starting to wish Mr Kipling apple and blackcurrant pies weren't vegan because I just ate two heated up with some Bird's custard. After 2 weeks of next to no sugar in my diet I'm now feeling a bit bleurgh!

Oh, I hadn't noticed this before, but if you're craving that cheezy powdery fakeness, Vx sells some Kosher "cheese" snacks (sorta like cheese curls) that may fill the bill.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet but I found some vegan iced buns the other day. They are M&S' Spiced and Iced buns, about £1.25 for two and I can confirm they are tasty! They remind me of Christmas.

I was literally wondering if Wham bars were vegan about 3 days ago, you've made my day WOOO HOOO!

(btw, I used to *really* love Wham bars...)

eta... I second the M&S Iced and Spiced buns, they have saved me from hunger at Motorway services on many a trip! Not quite a balanced meal though...

Also re Salt & Vinegar crisps, I believe S&V McCoys are vegan.

Sorry to disappoint - the manufacturer has reverted back to the milk protein so no longer vegan.

Urgh, this is turning in to a roller coaster of emotions!

Tesco's Flying Saucer Sweets are vegan according to the vegan list! Awesome.
