Vegan butter for panfrying, not margarine for spreading on things?

Really?! I get it in my local Co-op! You can get it in Tesco as well. Keep looking!
Me and my housemate once drank a lot of wine and complained to them by email just after they changed the shape of their tubs from frizby-shape to expensive-bathtub-shape and they sent us vouchers. Vitalite is wonderful. I think we told them they didn't tessellate well enough...

Helloooo! I return this week! And I badly need one of those passport/money holders that you wear around your neck and under your clothes. Know what I mean? Willing to buy or borrow one of yours :P
Also need...a really big wide-brim hat (to keep sun and mosquitoes away).
See you soon Brits!

Where can I get that sulphury salt stuff for fake farty egg taste? My unnecessary ingredients glands are twitching at the thought of it.

Thanks everyone. Now that I know what it's called, it might make the process a bit easier. I can get pink salt in my HFS and smoked salt at Sainsbury's, so black salt is bound to turn up somewhere.
Thanks for the offer, though, Efcliz.

If you need any other spices, search for kala namak, I think the website I saw it was Spices of India and you can other stuff to make the delivery worthwhile. It's seriously 49p in the shop near me though, so if I'm likely to head there soon I'll give you a shout and see if you've been fixed up yet.

Whereabouts do you live, Efcliz? My nearest sizeable place is Bath, which is really quite small and really quite lacking in some respects (but superb in others). I suppose I could go to Bristol, but I don't know it well enough to really know where I'm going and driving for an hour in search of black salt feels a little excessive.
Hang on... Is it the same as Himalayan pink salt? The Wikipedia page mentions the Himalayas and has pink salt as well, so it's possible I can actually buy it ten minutes away from my house. I'll go in and ask them about it tomorrow, maybe. If so, my HFS will win a another million points.

No it's not the same as pink salt. You can't get it in Bath, other than perhaps at the Oriental Supermarket in Weston. You can get it loads of places in Bristol, though.
Seriously not worth an hour's drive for a bag of salt though, and you can get it online pretty easily.

I'm in Stoke-on-Trent. I can pick it up in a large Pakistani supermarket, which really isn't at all far from my house, just not on any of my usual routes. Wait - I'll be going to the train station Tuesday next week, so I'll pass it. I can pop in and get you a bag if you haven't got it by then.
(This shop is ace. As well as all the obvious Indian spices etc I get the most amazing chilli nan breads there that say vegan on the packet, cheap tinned ackee, lots of Turkish stuff etc. I love it).

Check the Dr Oetker packets - they used to be vegan, then added whey or something, and I've read somewhere that they plan to revert to the vegan recipe, but any I've checked recently have still contained dairy, just fyi.
