8Ball is MIA. Does anyone who hasn't gotten a turn want to jump in for him/her? If not, I'm gonna jump in in like five minutes.

I'm sorry 8Ball! I feel like I keep doing this to you in the various "That still is from..." threads. But it's been like 15 hours and nobody has guessed the one above, so I'm going to reboot this. As always, everyone should feel free to do this. I'm still curious about what the Casablanca connection was though. This 2010 film was written and directed by the daughter of a central figure in New Hollywood. It tells the story of a famous actor who unexpectedly has to take care of his 11-year old daughter.

Little Voice! My previous one was Overdrawn At The Memory Bank, in which Raul Julia's character is punished for watching Casablanca and creates a Casablanca-esque alternate reality. A brother out for revenge in Matlock.

It's been 14 hours, so I'm going to reboot this. This one is so easy I'm not even going to provide a hint. Someone has to represent us unsophisticated folks who don't know Godard from Truffaut.

I'm pretty sure that Pyewacket's is Quest for Fire. Jonny's is Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Film by a prolific director of classic thrillers about two men that plan "the perfect murder" as an intellectual game. Film takes place in real time.

And I swear I know what your movie is but I can't for the life of me think of the title. A different Hitchcock film title popped in my head and I can't get around it.
