The third accuser wrote:
The accuser added in a prepared statement: "I am only coming forward in support for the two victims that were accused as liars. I too at first thought it was a money thing and wanted to stay silent, but Cecil's story reflects mine and deserves validation. Just say sorry so we can all move on with our lives. Clash's rep Risa Heller told the Post that "Mr. Clash believes this suit has no merit."

Clash, who had played Sesame Street's beloved Elmo since 1984, resigned last week after two other men, Sheldon Stephens and Cecil Singleton, made similar underage sex accusations.

Noooooooooo! Why, Ellen??

I don't care what she does tbh but if she's going to be uber vocal about veganism, a little consistency would be good for the movement!

I assume this is going to be the end of her being uber vocal. All for a few happy eggs.

While I commend actresses and performers for wishing to care for chickens and treat them humanely, I wonder what will happen to these chickens when they stop laying eggs, or if they find lead in the eggs? I have a hard time thinking that every Hollywood eco-conscious person will suddenly want pet chickens once they stop producing; Will they then justify turning them into “happy” humane chicken meat? It’s a slippery slope.

I feel like the slippery slope argument is a bit unfair. By that reasoning everyone who is a vegetarian is just on a slippery slope to eating meat every day.

Exactly. I'm not a fan (in fact, she's always kind of irritated me), but she seemed like a great mainstream ambassador for veganism. She and her wife eating eggs from "happy" chickens may not be as bad as those celebrity vegans who are all "OMG I JUST REALIZED THAT BACON IS A MIRACLE!!!" (although who knows if "happy" meat might be next?) but I worry that it suggests that veganism is somehow unsustainable. If someone with all the wherewithal in the world and a personal chef can't face a life without eggs - of all things; what the fizzle? - doesn't that suggest that it would be even less sustainable for America's Average TV Viewer? Remember that supershitty Oprah episode where Kathy Freston took the meat & potatoes lady to WF, loaded up her cart with a billion dollars worth of meat and cheese analogues, and then had her make pepperoni pizza or something for her SAD-addicted family? And guess what? They turned up their noses at it. Ergo, veganism is too hard, too expensive, and no one even likes the food so why bother trying?

Part of me wishes public figures would just STFU about their flirtations with various ethical/dietary/political stances. I don't look to celebrities to instruct/inspire my personal choices, but some people do, and it risks doing more harm than good when some talk show host or movie star shoots their mouths off all over the place about their veganism and then shoots it off even louder about how they only eat cheese from "happy" cows, or their fetus "needed" a cheeseburger, or whatever. People can obviously eat what they like, but I wish they wouldn't undermine a movement that many others find completely satisfying and sustainable just because they want a forking omelet.

Is it real?! I adore Kate. I can't help it!

ETA: Oh! That article looks legit. I hope she has a good pregnancy. Pregnancies scare the crepe out of me.

Actually they were looking to put through legislation to change the succession rules back in summer of 2011, but since there were more pressing things to worry about and no baby was imminent they decided to leave it for the time being. Heard today that it should be coming back through in pretty short order.

After sixty (!) years of having a female monarch, I don't think there is going to be too much fuss about changing the rules to "first born, full stop."

Yeah, it's going to be retroactive, so whatever gender is birthed they'll get to be head of the parasitic forks no matter what! Is it still against the 'law' for one of them to marry a Catholic? Anyone know?

Yay for her! Seriously, they seem like a very happy and fairly down-to-earth couple. I hope her pregnancy goes well - I can't imagine being at the early stages of pregnancy and still having a high risk of losing the baby and everyone knowing about it. And some people will be trollish about anything (see Yahoo comments).

Hyperemesis gravidarum sounds like hell. I know someone on these boards had it, and it lasted for longer than the first trimester. I hope Kate's is easier

I had HG with my youngest daughter. It was horrible. It actually got worse as my pregnancy went on. I'm still having stomach issues almost 9 months since giving birth. ( seeing a GI on the 20th ) My heart goes out to her. The day I gave birth I was 45lbs lighter than when I got pregnant and was put on hospital bed rest at 28 weeks because of preterm labor. Keeping us both healthy was a battle and a half.

i actually saw something on CNN today about them changing the rules about the "first born son" thing after i posted that so that's pretty cool. i mean i have no idea about any of this monarchy stuff and im confused what it actually *means* these days but it would suck to have everyone up your butt about having a boy plus all the public scrutiny she goes through anyways.

i hope her pregnancy gets easier. ive been sick for the 4.5 months ive been pregnant but NOTHING like that and i already feel burnt out so i cant even imagine. and yeah now everyone knows and it's so early. hopefully everything goes well for her. they seem to actually genuinely like each other. maybe that's me being a sucker but they seem like a real couple.

They HAVE changed the rules according to BBC breakfast this morning so whether they have a boy or a girl, the first born will rule after Wills.

But she is not even 12 weeks yet, the palace have been forced to announce the pregnancy because she's in hospital with super morning sickness or something.

That's the thing that worries me. I'm superstitious about pregnancy. I really hope she's doing OK.

Oh my bad, the rule hasn't been changed yet, but apparently it's being rushed through parliament in case Kate gives birth to a girl.

If it's a girl it'll be called Diana. If it's a boy, it'll be called DianaSteve.
