Anybody got any experience eating at Aagrah, the Indian chain? A friend is having their birthday meal there and I am anticipating a bit of a nightmare ordering food I can eat, the menu seems to be a world of dairy... Definitely not being helped by the fact I don't like Indian food to start with. Something like a biryani would be made with butter, wouldn't it? *dread*
Usually in Indian restaurants if it has ghee in they will say so, as it makes the dish richer etc. I just looked at their menu and there are a few dairy dishes but I don't think you're going to struggle. They seem to include it in the item description if it has egg or dairy in.
The byriani doesn't mention butter, so check if that's what you want to go for. Some Indian restaurants serve a hard boiled egg on top of their byriani (not all of them) so you might want to check they don't do that.
I've honestly never struggled in an Indian restaurant, there are usually loads of veggie options and if it's not mentioned, you just need to check there's no ghee/yoghurt.
