I'd like to try living sometime in California, not sure of the city, but somewhere south, or bay.
Arizona also holds some intrigue for me.
Other than those two, well I'd like to 'visit' many others, but nothing else holds intrigue for living. Plus, I really love Portland, OR anyhow.

We have our sights set on moving back to Minneapolis. I love it there and miss it! But in another life (without a baby and a restrictive career and all our family in MN) I would like to live in Portland.

I love Santa Cruz and am going to have a hard time ever living anywhere else. Portland and Seattle both seem pretty cool to me, but maybe too cool. I like SF/Oakland/Berkeley too!
I don't really have any desire to live on the east coast again ever.

I second SF, but it is not cheap. I have not been pulled to live in any other American cities. If smaller towns in Northern California were an option, I'd be there with bells on. I don't think I'd love living in Portland (just visiting), but Eugene could be fun.
I like Boston okay, too.

i always loved Tucson but the recent Arizona political weirdness shook that right out of me. Boston and Providence are both fantastic. I miss them both.

Somewhere in Arizona - but that's just me looking out of my office window and being sick and tired of the fog and grey.

I'm a Rust Belt kind of lady and would love the stay in Buffalo, NY forever and ever and ever. I am seriously in love with this city. Detroit, Cleveland and Pittsburgh hold a similar intrigue for me. In the areas where my company is expanding operations, (Massachusetts, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Maryland, Northern Virginia) only the Boston and maybe Philly a little hold any intrigue for me.

I honestly love where I live in Maryland. I grew up in California but other than for my family living there, I have no desire to live there. I also really like Albuquerque but I'm not overly fond of living in major cities that have few/no other major cities for hundreds of miles. I really like living in a culturally diverse area which is one reason I like it here so much. If I had a job in DC, then I think it'd be cool to live there and use public transportation vs driving places.

If I was really rich, New York City. Otherwise Portland it is, and it is awesome.

If I were ever to move back to the US, it would definitely be to the Pacific NW. My heart is in Seattle, but that may be my romanticized memories of living there just out of college in the early 90s. I've only been to Portland once, for a weekend, but if Seattle wasn't doable, Portland would run a close second.

Chicago, Portland (on either coast), Denver maybe, Seattle maybe. I also like Louisville. Boston is a great place to visit, but if you don't have money or aren't a student it's not a great place to live.

Arizona has been pretty rad thus far because it's sunny every day but a lot of places are so... brown. I think I'd like southern California.

New England. Particularly somewhere around the Massachusetts, New Hampshire border. Or Vermont.

Seattle Chicago Miami (the palm trees and beaches are calling me)
Really I'd love to live anywhere that 1) I could get along without a car and 2) has a cost of living that wouldn't mean living in a cardboard box (so no LA or NYC, and even Seattle's iffy).

Denver or San Diego or honestly any of the many cities where I could pay half as much rent as I am in NYC.
