i just ate some toast and didn't puke! my flu is over, maybe?

It is my ballet class day and I am giddy with excitement. It is so so great to be dancing again, even though I'm still totally exhausted and coughing up my lungs.

It was tension and lint, both of which are now fixed. On with sewing the epic tentacle dress!

TODAY IS AWESOME!

My brother and I left Nashville yesterday around 3pm, so we should've been home by about 2am. No problem - I can stay awake that late. Well, we got about an hour and a half down the road when he realised he'd left his glasses at grandpa's house (he was wearing contacts, and they were already getting irritating), so we had to turn around and go back for them. We didn't get back to our parents' house (in TX) until about 5.30am. I had to switch out about 30 minutes from the house because I was falling asleep at the wheel.

Also, military funerals are super sad, and I think I'm PMSing. Apparently my mom reported back to my sister that I was the only person who "couldn't keep it together".

Your post inspired me to think the same thing, so thanks because life kind of really sucks right now at this immediate moment but it's nice to be inspired to feel otherwise. <3

Some lady just called me and asked if I read the bible and then started saying how I should because it'll cure all my suffering and all HUMAN suffering. Dear God. I should have known right off it was someone I didn't want to talk to because she called me Mrs. Mylastname. (Not that there's something wrong with being a Mrs., but I mean anyone I know well enough to want to talk to would also happen to know that I am not a Missus!)

In the last two or three years I drank something with alcohol in it almost every day in order to kind of cope with my restless feeling at home.

Just over two weeks ago I decided I totally had enough of it and didn't use alcohol since then.

I sleep better, feel more inner peace and troubles at work have less influence on me.

I feel good and am proud that I finally totally quit the alcohol.

That's a rough couple of days. I hope you get some time to recharge before flying home.

Try talking about yummy vegan food instead of sex and drugs! Also, there's at least one thread around here for talking about sex stuff. Post in there. People (like me) who don't want to know about ppkers sex lives can stay the hell away.

I think that's the nice thing about the PPK. People are free to say, "Hey! That makes me uncomfortable!" And you just back off, and it's cool. I guess I'm saying, don't sweat it JonnyWoop, learning curve. As long as you continue to be respectful when people voice discomfort, I think you'll be A-OK.

ETA: I also love how much I learn from PPKs. It's made me a much more thoughtful/considerate person.
