Babies wearing unicorn costumes... NOW

Got a scarf from a boy at a bar. Left bar and ate street meat since I was tanked and pregan. Next day wore scarf, thinking of boy. Smelled mustard all day, couldn't figure out why. Apparently was drunk enough to not remember the street meat part of the night until much, much later when I found the mustard stain.

I am having a conversation with my sister about christmas gifts for my dad that is almost identical to a conversation one might have about a very small child. It's pretty funny. "Do you think he'll be able to use it? Is it too complicated for him? Will he just lose it?"

(My dad is awesome, btw, just not tech-savvy).

Ow. Combination of a lot of driving this week, and a lot of stress, which leads to tense muscles, my neck and shoulders are hurting like hell. I've taken a bunch of pain relievers, and I've got Charlie Brown Christmas on TV, so maybe some of that will help.

I am consistently boggled by the frequency with which my cat accidentally sits partway in her water dish.

In other news, out of my 110 essays to grade, I have only FIVE left. This ends tonight. *cues Final Countdown*

I love that what got the thread locked was lyco posting about having sex as a Republican. Sure bukkake, poo and cheat all you want, but GOP-boinking is where we draw the line.

I assumed the just entered specific urls into the filter. They don't seem very sophisticated. The big use for this, of course, is kids and teachers getting on Facebook.

What's everybody up to tonight? There are a lot of people online but nobody is posting. I'm trying to watch this movie, but it's kind of lame so I keep checking back in on the PPK, hoping something is happening. I have today and tomorrow off from work and I don't know what to do with myself. Gah, I need to find a gf.

I am watching Psych on Netflix, eating cookies, snuggling conures who keep trying to steal my cookies, and wondering if I have the motivation to do my nails (no).

Exciting stuff!

Right now I am baking frozen spring rolls for my super healthy athlete dinner. Then I will go swim. Bah. It's hard to get motivated to swim when it's dark and cold and blustery out.

Everyone here seems to be really big on working out, and swimming in particular. I'm jealous. I NEVER have the motivation.

What is it that you're working on?

I guess I could do fun stuff on my own. But I'm such a loner to begin with I really need someone to drag me out of my apartment, and, more importantly, my head.

Join a triathlon team and pay someone lots of money to tell you what to do. Seriously, all my motivation is external. I don't do it for myself, I do it because Coach T makes me! :P

Seriously seriously, though. I have never had much motivation to work out for the sake of working out. I have to have a very specific goal to work towards and a monetary commitment to a race helps a lot. I just keep paying entry fees so I always have something that I'm obligated to. It's what works for me.

You don't have to do stuff alone just because you don't have a girlfriend. I'm sure you can find ways to make friends. (The internet!)

My hometown hosts a triathlon and all the locals HATE the visiting athletes for some reason. A couple of years ago someone threw a jar of mayonnaise at a biker out of a moving car.

I work out when it's something fun. So if my friends (like I actually have enough to fill a team) were playing pick-up basketball, I'd totally be down.
