I've been browsing upcoming cookbooks on Amazon. Most of these won't be out for months, but here are the ones that looked exciting (I'm listing them in order of publication date):

Which 2013 cookbooks sound most interesting to you guys? Also, does anyone know more about the ones I listed above? Have you guys tested recipes or seen these cookbooks excerpted somewhere? More information would be great to have.

Vegan Secret Supper excites me! I heard amazing things about her food. So does Vegan Pizza because even though pizza isn't my favourite thing--Julie is amazing and I'm sure there are some really creative recipes that I will love.

I just perused amazon and got excited. There looks to be a Vedge book coming out as well as a vegan sriracha cookbook! The latter is probably gimmicky but I can get behind Vedge. And Mango & Mint looks interesting.

Whole Grain Vegan Baking by Tami and Celine, Mai 2013. I tested for it and it has lots of tasty and unique recipes.

Isn't Isa's one due in 2013 too?

oh wow, i know her sorta (friend of a friend), but i didn't know she has a cookbook coming out. i tried a really great cake she made for a friends birthday.

Ugh, I need to cut down on my vegan cookbook habit. Not that I will. But I need to.

I have such a long list of things I am dying to make.

Yeah, when does Isa's new cookbook come out? That would always been 1st on my list.

A whole cookbook on vegan pizza.... By Julie Hasson!? I'm sold!!!!!

I'm also really really really hoping then Plum book has their Mac and Yease recipe. It's hands down the best vegan Mac and cheese ever.

I did some testing for Great Gluten Free Eats Gone Global, there were a lot of really good and interesting recipes. I think there may have been only one or two that I wasn’t a fan of but I’m not sure if they would have made it into the book anyway. One of the tofu recipes my husband still requests over and over and over, it’s just that good!

Wow, talk about an abundance of riches! I love that all these books are coming out but I can't keep up anymore. I'll have to be more selective in what I buy :(

I wasn't sure if the sriracha cookbook was vegan or just vegetarian, so I didn't list it. I'm also not sure about Vedge. Mango and Mint does look interesting.

Ah, that's good to know. I'm not much into baking or whole grains but I may get it from the library. What were some of your favorite recipes from it, Mihl?

I didn't see it on Amazon and didn't know the title, so I didn't list it, but of course I'm looking forward to it.

Of the ones listed on Amazon I'm most looking forward to Pies and Tarts with Heart. I'm really intrigued by the idea of savory pie recipes.

I think I want Julie's pizza book because I love Vegan Diner & love pizza!! Mango & Mint & Secret Supper sound great too!

Kathy Hester's Bean Book is coming out (March-Mayish), and Tamasin's Grills gone Vegan was (January,but it got pushed back). as well. I pre-ordered Chloe's, Kathys, Allysons, Julie (for 12.40 heck yah!). I just wish Amazon lets you add titles after you've pre-ordered rather than having to cancel everytime.

Oh man, I just looked up Mango & Mint. I'll have to loook at it via the Library but I may own it.

I tested for Julie's pizza cookbook and it is AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING. Seriously, so much simplicity that just works and makes things taste awesome. I still use the recipes all the time. This will be a winnnnnner!

Really looked forward to Allyson Kramer's newest - we're not GF but have really loved the recipes we've tried from her first book.

I don't know when it's coming out, but I've made over 100 recipes in testing so far and trust me, you'll want it.

while i didn't do any testing for Great Gluten-Free Vegan Eats Gone Global, i am superexcitedfaced about its release. we have yet to try a recipe from Great Gluten-Free Vegan Eats we've not thoroughly enjoyed (they're all so delicious), so i imagine Allyson's next book is going to be just as awesome as her first.

I also thought that Julie (of Vegan Diner) had a casserole cookbook coming out too, or maybe she's just been talking about developing the recipes on her blog. She seems to be GF now, so I'm wondering if her casserole book will be too.....

And dayum! I thought I was doing pretty amazing with like 80-something.

Gah! I allow myself one shelf for cookbooks. I'm going to have to weed some out I think, 'cause I will need Julie's book and Isa's isn't even a question.

Just get a bigger shelf! Problem solved!
