It's only the second day of summer here in the Southern Hemisphere! I'm melting!!! It's 29 Degrees Celsius, which is 84F.
Make me jealous with stories of the cold!!!

The weather people are saying for a high of 11 C tomorrow in my area, which is depressing. I am ready for snow. Rain in December makes me sad!!!

Uh, well I live in Washington state in the US and it has been raining for over a week. Pouring rain. I love the rain but the constant pouring rain makes it hard for me to take my dog out for a walk to do his business. Temp has been around 35F to 48F for the whole week. Good weather for hot tea and slippers. Extra blankets on the bed to keep warm.

My dad loved Australia he must have taken 6 or 7 trips before I was born. I hope someday to visit that beautiful country. In the winter.

Oh man. Snow. So jealous right now.
The humidity here must be at least 70%. I'm wearing shorts and a singlet and I'm still sweating! At least I'm finally updating my blog with pictures of our USA trip in October.

Just not summer. It's really bad.
The vegan food is so much better than it used to be too!

One of the random thoughts that went through my head when I made the jump to vegan was "Well, you won't be able to try a meat pie in AU".

Yeh, hot, hot with high humidity is not for me. Had a melt down in Chicago this last July with my mom. It was really bad. I think I asked the bellhop why anybody would want to live in such a place.

My co-workers complain about the rain and shoot me nasty looks saying "Well, at least you are happy with it!" And I am.

Come to Brisbane and try a Ykillamoocow pie. Just like a meat pie without all the horrible meat part.

My dogs are so sulky about the heat. They've both been lying on the floorboards trying to keep cool all day. I keep telling them that they haven't seen anything yet, but they just glare at me. Adelaide over Christmas might destroy them- but at least they can go to the beach there.

I live in WA state, too and it is kind of lovely here, I think! I like grey skies quite a bit, though. I FEAR January here.

Bahahaha. I grew up in North Queensland. THAT's hot. I feel sorry for the Tropical Vegan (Theresa). Growing up in New York state and then moving to sunny Townsville....

Proper aussie meat pies have more tvp than meat to keep the costs down anyway, so vegan versions aren't really that different!

I can't really complain about the weather too much right now because I'm sitting in my nice air conditioned flat. (But I have some nice 40+C days to look forward to when I move back to Melbourne mid-January, and I won't have air con then.)

Did you grow up here? I moved to WA when I was 12 and hated it so bad. Now I cannot even think of anywhere else I would rather live. I always ask people who go on and on about the rain why they live here if they dislike the rain so much?

What's that you say? We should hang out!
Also, come on, Melbourne is hardly ever over 40C. Although actually it was almost that hot on Thursday, which was pretty horrible at my work, wearing a hoodie and jeans almost the whole day (I work in coolrooms a lot - which was nice until they started overheating cos a lot of other people decided they wanted to be in the coolrooms more often that day).

I am quite happy about the weather here. This might be because I'm still scarred by my last summer in Perth of 2-3 months of relentless 37+C days, no rain, no cool change, nothing. I actually wanted to tear my own skin off a lot of the time. It was horrible.

Another plus about Melbourne is that it has La Panella, aka the trashy vegan bakery run by Supreme Grand Master devotees, which has excellently convincing meat pies.

This is not a complain, but it's been between -5 and -10 C here the past few days. And tons of snow. I love it.

It's freezing here with clear blue skies. I haven't been able to feel my toes for most of the last three days.

-9ºC (15.8ºF) here and we got a load of snow over night... We've hade some snow before now but not this much. We're a bit behind schedule this year which I love. I'm grumpy and dislike both cold and hot weather. By your username I'm guessing Finland?

I don't know how anyone survives 40ºC weather. I really don't.

Yep! This year I'm even more excited about the winter than usual. I spent last year in the Midwest and we didn't get any snow... It feels good to be home again. Hot weather is not for me.

When we get up around 39 Celsius for any longer than 3 days I start complaining to everybody about the heat telling them "You know this kind of heat is basically cooking our brains. You know that right? How can I be expected to think in this heat?" I think it is true.

Now I really want to go to AU. Next time somebody asks me why I want to go so bad I am gonna tell them. "Uh, trashy vegan meat pies?! Hello!"

It's windy and rainy here. 55 mph winds. Whenever the weather is bad, I always think about all the animals that are stuck outside. The dogs at the local humane society are in chain link enclosures outside.

Raining :(. Not acceptable in December. This is very depressing and not keeping me in the festive spirit at all

It's -20 and dropping, and the air is so dry that my hands and feet and lips are permanently chapped.

I hate that! My hands are in terrible shape right now (and it's not even that dry here). On the plus side dry cold is better than windy wet cold. At the moment my computer informs me that it is -13 but feels like -19.

The wind and rain in Northern CA is annoying, but I wouldn't be able to survive this. My condolences.
