My question for y'all is, what do you do for a living? Do you work for "the man"? Do you work for yourself? Are you in school?

Myself, I work part-time at the local NPR station. I also host my own radio program at another local station. Side projects include creating a TNR program for feral cats and a ban that would prevent circuses from coming to town in Chico.

I'm sure this has been asked before because I know I've said I work for 'the man' before. IT based career.

I was taking classes for a while but not taking any right now. Work is also majorly stressing me so not sure how well I'd cope with classes.

Work for "the man". I'm a project manager at a technology firm.

I'm an occupational therapy student, and in less than a year (if all goes well), I'll be an occupational therapist! I hope to work in neurological rehabilitation.

"The man" is my husband's grandfather. But only one day a week :P

I work as a personal assistant to a woman with MS. She is employed at the Ecology Action Centre here in Halifax, so I take her to work, to run errands, type emails, reports, etc., drive her to personal events, etc. I just finished my undergrad degree in May so am in a bit of a "transition" period. I'm hoping to take Moksha yoga teacher training in June and eventually open my own studio, etc. But I also want to go to culinary school and take a natural nutrition program so....

I've been living as a parasite on my parents since I graduated school in june. I'm looking for an internship somewhere, and I hand out adverts on the weekends, but that doesn't pay much.

What kind of internship?

I work for "the man" also. Surveillance for a gaming corporation.

I work for an organic skin care company. It has a hard to pronounce French name. I ran a moderately successful cat care product shop on etsy for over a year but I'm currently taking a break from it while we house hunt and wedding plan.

I am a PA doing physicals for disability claims. Not my dream job, but pays the bills.

graphic designer and photographer for a huge conglomerate you all have heard of.

Admin, finance, marketing, PR, events and development for a non-profit marine research org that also rescues whales. I love it :)

I'm self-employed and work from home doing this and that, because I don't want to leave my dog, and lots of people annoy me, and get bad knees and joints and can't really be on my feet all day. I've had a bit of time off because of illness, but just getting back into the swing on things. I do quite a bit of copywriting/web content writing, some selling of vintage dresses and things on ebay, and other online dealies.

I am a kept woman.

I'm a research analyst at the state legislature. Whatcha wanna know 'bout tax policy, (the) Man?

I teach in a secondary school.

I work in a deli and go full time to community college. Though it looks like the deli is gonna have to give, as I'm taking more classes next semester.

I very much work for The Man. I am in mortgage lending for a Fortune 50 company whose logo would be immediately recognizable to most Americans.

I am a grad student who will most likely work for some "the man" within the next year. I hope.

I teach at a university. That probably counts as The Man.

i am a newly licensed registered dietitian who is unemployed. i have a feeling i won't find a job between now and christmas, so i'm looking, and sending in some resumes, but also i'm just really hoping the new year will bring me a job because i really need one :(

I don't know yet. I participate in a program that helps young people with asperger's to get jobs/internships, right now we're trying to figure out what would suit me. I'll probably end up in a grocery store or something.

I work for a German bank, watching over wire transfers to make sure none of them goes to the bad guys, aka Iran, Cuba, North Korea, Burma and Sudan. Also assorted drug dealers and terrorists.

I guess I work for the German Man.
