Holiday dessert potluck/craft night sounds great! I'm pretty free in the evenings until Dec 21 then I will be doing surgery/recovery so I will be out of commission for a while.
Good luck on all your deadlines PR!
Ah, I clearly missed that there were a couple more pages. New year works for me!

You have surgery lined up now? That's great news! I was worried that too much desserty foods might be out of the question. Maybe we can have holiday dessert night in January and craft night in December (I for one have some gifts to make).

I do! Dec 21. So hopefully by the new year I will be able to eat a lot more fun stuff. Let us know what works for a craft night for you!

I'm up to my ears in school work too (but the teacher not the student kind!). I have break from the 21st-Jan. 7, with crazy family stuff until the 26th. I'd be good from the 27-30 I think, or after New Year's.

Guys, I'm in a vegan in vancouver food rut. What new and happenin' food is out there that doesn't break the bank? I haven't tried heirloom yet but I think we are saving that for a special occasion.

My girlfriend said Slow Bean on Pender at Abbott was good. Their prices are not bank breaking.
Unfortunately the best development vegan-wise, the Parker, is a definite bank breaker.
When's the last time you had soft serve from Karmavore?

Hey guys! This thread is hella long, but I'll likely be in Vancouver for a bit this summer and would love a short list of vegan eats. Maybe your top three? That would be awesomely helpful! We'll probably be there five days before going to Seattle and PDX. So much eating...

Only three is mean!
Heirloom--higher end, fabulous brunch, tapas-style for dinner and late night. Chau Veg--Banh mi! Whole Vegetarian or 3Gs--Dim Sum! Wonton soup!

Wild Rice! Nuba! Grub!
I still come back to the first two no matter what opens up and/or changes.

Oh man, I forgot about Grub. Grub for sure! Above all my other choices!

You folks have a whole forum to fill now, and I hate to cut off conversation but I'm closing this particular thread.
