i agree they kinda had to kill him at that point. But, who is he? Yeah, I think that guys was just whatever. A way to give the cast something to do between the prison and Woodbury.

Also, they keep talking about the "red zone" which they don't venture into, so maybe that's where the cabin is?

Rarrrr. So I'm just down to one last episode of season 2. Its sure hard to guess where I might find the messages around where I am. That's the hardest part of watching on netflix, I can't join the conversation!

Seriously. I thought the governor was more composed than he should have been just a few hours after getting stabbed in the eye.

I thought it was a little labored/fake that Michonne didn't kill him when she had him there, that Michonne didn't tell Andrea that the governor tried to have her killed and that Andrea didn't turn around at that point.

Not quite as labored/fake though, as the white woman in the new group, stopping running and holding still to get bit just because a walker put its hand on her shoulder.

right? even right after, he was crying over his kid, but you would think he would have still been rolling around screaming.

I'm disappointed the governor isn't dead already. I feel pretty certain his days are numbered but I wanted it to be over. I think it is a HUGE tactical mistake for him to turn on Merle like that. Merle + Daryl = pretty serious badassery.

I think Carl is going to have to take out the remaining prisoner dude, creepin' on his girl and all. I know he's been 'without female company' and all that, but it's the zombie apocolypse, keep it in your pants.

he was skeevy in this episode, but the short hair =/= lesbian exchange with carol was pure gold.

I think the teenage boy with the new group is going to be hitting on Hershel's younger daughter (whatever her name is).

Also, is the leader of the new group the guy who gave Rick shelter in Season 1? (When Rick was all disoriented from escaping from the hospital.) He wouldn't know Carl, because Rick hadn't been reunited with his family yet. Maybe I'll try googling it before shooting off my keyboard.
ETA: The man is familiar to me because he played a role in The Wire.

If so, it will be interesting when Rick gets back--I think the new group will be integrated into the original group.

Also, I totally agree about the glass in the eye...Mr Q and I were like, no way the Governor is able to go out and give a coherent speech to the group. But I LOVED the way the eye patch started out all white and clean at the beginning and then was all bloody on the bottom half at the end of the talk. So gory in a low-key way.

I have to say, the first half of Season 3 was SO much better than the first half of Season 1.

ETA: RIP Oscar! He didn't even last as long as T-Dog.
