I do.
I don't tell you enough, but I'm telling you now.
In the 4+ years I've been a member on this site I've learned so much; including ideas involving feminism, privilege, et cetera. Whether I agree with everything posted here is of no consequence; I learn so much by being a part of (or a viewer to) the conversation.

Plus, the whole vegan thing. I joined the PPK the month I became vegan in 2008. I think my journey through veganism thus far would be completely different had I not done a google search that lead me to the PPK early on.

And I've met (in real life and just online) some of my favourite people. For real.

Cheers (with juice! In my alcohol-free saaaafe spaaace! made with red dye #40) to another 4+ years of personal growth, cats and hella rad foods.

Thirded!! Learning so much just by observing all of the conversations and participating. Thank you for calling me on my shiitake, PPK.

The PPK has been around since 2005 and I've been PPKing since 2006! I think we've been together long enough for me to be able to use the L word.

You are the bestest

Guys, I've been a member of the ppk BEFORE I WAS LEGALLY AN ADULT.

Like, I don't actually know how to function as an adult without the ppk.

Now it just sounds weird and unhealthy actually.

(I'm 25 now, by the way.)

srock, I've been a PPKer longer than I've been married and before I started my career. Weird!

Boob honks all around.
And I wish that was my cat but it's just a cat I found online.
I love y'all.

I don't post very often, but I have been lurking pretty regularly for almost four years now, and I have to say that I completely agree with everything that paprikapapaya said. In fact, I was just trying to explain this to my friend the other day and she was looking at me like I had two heads: "So, what you're saying is that this vegan internet forum totally changed your life???" But, really, it's true. Not only did you guys inspire me to make the transition from vegetarian to vegan, but you also made me reexamine everything that I thought I knew about class, race, gender, feminism and privilege which in turn made me reassess my life and put me on a new career path. Seriously, before the PPK I was a directionless former theater major working at Starbucks. Now, I am a full-time student, graduating this Spring with a degree in Community Development and hopefully going on to a dual Master's program in Public Health and Urban Planning. So, when I say that the PPK changed my life, I don't say it lightly.

Also, the PPK has taught me about really important things like pants babies, flouncing and kfishers. And it has become my Google - this is the first place that I search, whether I am looking for the perfect banana bread recipe, book recommendations, parenting advice or commentary on the presidential debates. So, yeah, I don't really know what I would do without it.

PPK, you complete me!

Ditto! And actually it sounds like we became vegan and PPKers around the same time. That's pretty rad!

More love for the PPK! I stumbled on this site soon after going vegan in 2007, and it has been an important part of my life ever since: from cooking inspiration, to moral support (both vegan-specific and general), to the amazing kindness and generosity I've received during tough times, to utter and complete hilariousness and random shenanigans, this community has become not only an invaluable resource but a - dare I say it? - internet family. And if nothing else, I'll never see the words "croissant," "shiitake," "asparagus," or "mother hubbard" the same way again. So yeah - go ahead and honk my boobs, and I'll be happy to honk yours right back!

In other news: happy rainbow puppy dogs!

Yep, this place really helps me keep my sanity. Especially this year with this boring-ass job. I am very happy that this board is not blocked on my work server. And I sure have learned a hell of a lot about vegan-y stuff these past 4 years or so (I lurked a lot the first couple of years)

I frequent a lot of forums and stuff, and this is my favorite for sure.

Thank you all for listening to my rants (it's been a tough year) and sharing stuff...cooking, lives, politics etc :)
