Had a great weekend with the guy I'm seeing. He's so thankful and appreciative for everything, and remembers the littlest things. It gives me hope that there are other decent people out there.

My mom sent me a care package, and I knew I was getting white chocolate wonderful because it's been out of stock at my closest grocery store, but she also included CRUNCHY BISCOFF! Oh my Lard, I'm so excited. I'm doing a Biscoff hullabaloo.

Visiting my mom, I got to see my animals today. I cried when I saw my bird - I miss her so much!

I'm going through a rough patch with anxiety and agoraphobia. (Ive suffered on and off for 20 years at different levels of severity.) I pushed through it relatively well today and just want to recognize that and say yay! today was a "good" day. Tomorrow might not be and that's okay.

Hooray for them and for you!

My aunt's funeral was today, which isn't a typical 'best thing', but I really enjoyed seeing the family. It's been about 2 years since I've seen some of them. It so was nice to catch up, tell stories about my aunt, and hear and say 'I love you' so many times.
The real best thing was my cousin's daughter, Maddie. She's 2 1/2, and today was the first time we met. I had just hugged her mom, my aunt's daughter, for a good long while, and we were both crying. Maddie came over with her aunt, and I bent down to introduce myself. She immediately jumped on me, and latched on in this massive 2 year-old hug and just would not let go. It's like she knew how sad I was and that I just needed it. Kids, man!

I got a box of peanut butter in the mail! Four jars of PB&Co White Chocolate Wonderful, a jar of creamy Biscoff spread, and a jar of crunchy Biscoff spread. Not only is it amazingly generous, but my mom also apparently listens to me when I ramble.

Oh, LW! I was thinking about you--she also sent a Harley t-shirt she'd got from vacation in South Dakota.

My friend got her Ca125 test results back (ovarian cancer/BRCA gene) and her levels are nearly normal after 8 chemo treatments! So freaking stoked for her.

My boyfriend and I decorated our work for the holidays today and it was super fun to listen to the Pogues on repeat and steal kisses. And dance around. And laugh when the $100 xmas tree fell off the balcony. (oops) The tree survived.

thought i'd take an easy day today and instead of going to the gym, redo my landscaping in the front yard. hehe. i am totally knackered, my hands are almost incapable of closing, and i'm ready for bed.
my front yard looks awesome though- i ripped out about 15 square meters of grass (that horrible centipede grass that's so hard to take out), put in a bed separator thing, and now we have a flower bed out front along my front outside wall.
the best thing is that i rehomed several Very Frigging Large spiders who were living in there. Spiders are not my favorite animals (they scare me) but you have to respect these big mommas, so I got a bucket and with a few yelps and scared squirms, found a new home for them across the street.

I don't have to have a biopsy after all like I was told last week by the radiologist during my breast scan because it turns out that she reviewed all my films back to 2009 after I left and is satisfied now that there are no changes from before and nothing suspicious after all to follow up or biopsy for now and the surgeon is satisifed too that everything's stable and he told me she is the most thorough and meticulous radiologist he knows so now I only have to follow up again in May. Yay!!!! Free of this worry until the spring! I practically tap danced out of the hospital! Hugs and <3s to all of us for our better days!!!!!

I went out and bought a bunch of tacky Christmas garland stuff, and biker boy and I uglified the ugly Christmas sweaters we thrifted. His is awesomely bad. I added lights to mine which took forever so I still have some work to do. But it was fun and it looks like Christmas barfed all over my dining room table.
