Nope, 2 is the lie. I was too young to go because it was so long. Only residents can participate.

But 3 is because we were at the NATO school and that was the transportation somebody scrounged up for us! Our driver used to yodel if we begged.

See above! It sounds more exciting than it was. Basically, said bulletproof limo was the available vehicle for shunting military brats back and forth from NATO housing to the Montessori school in town.

It was hair raising in the winter since the roads in the Bavarian alps didn't have such ammenities as guard rails or wide lanes. Lots of sheer drops.

But I've used up my store of semi-interesting things!

1. My art work has appeared in dozens of international publications.
2. I was a projectionist at a movie theater and ran half a showing of Goldfinger with the sound reel on backwards.
3. In my college dorm, I was the go to girl for people needing stuff (different furniture) out of the locked store rooms as well as bootleg cable tv. I didn't have keys.

Busted! Yes, I don't fork with 007.

It was actually The African Queen, and nobody noticed until halfway through! But they all had their Kant and Schopenhauer with them as back up. Wild and crazy Saturday nights at the U of Chicago.

Ok, this thread has been sitting idle all day, so I'm going to go ahead and jump in even though it's not my turn and I was the one whining about people going out of turn earlier. Feel free to yell at me.

#1. When I was in high school, my dad and I ended up in the back of a police car together.
#2. When I was in college I accidentally saw a Catholic priest naked.
#3. At my 30th birthday party I accidentally swallowed a guppy.

My avatar is the only thing I've done recently.

I cheated on that one a little--my published art was all technical geological cross sections done in Illustrator for various professors and grad students. I took their scribbles and cleaned them up, made them pretty, added colors and patterns. Probably only another geologist would come close to considering those art though!

Nope, number 2 is true. It's really long to explain so it makes sense, but here I go. I had this friend in college who's dad had been a priest, became disgruntled with the church/priesthood, left, got married and had kids. Then his wife passed away and he applied to be reinstated as a priest and was accepted. So he was currently a priest at the time that this happened. I was spending the night at their house, but we must have gotten back late, and I guess he didn't know I was there and also had a habit of walking around his home nude sometimes. I woke up early in the morning and had to use the bathroom. I'm walking to the bathroom when suddenly I see my friends dad/the priest walking toward me with not a stitch of clothing on. We both looked at each other shocked and ran the opposite direction of each other!

Oh, I was ok. I figured it was worse for him than me, and we never spoke of "the incident" afterward! And of course, it makes a great story now!

Is it #3? I find it hard to imagine the chain of events that would lead to someone accidentally swallowing a guppy. (But that might be lack of imagination on my part.)

Rhizo, yours are so good! I'm going with #1, because it sounds like something out of a movie and makes me laugh.

Lepellar is right; 3 is the lie! I have never in my life swallowed a guppy!

My dad and I did ended up in the back of a police car together. We took the train to a high school where a music festival was being held. When we got off the train we weren't sure which direction to walk to get to the high school, so we stopped and asked a cop, and he offered to drive us there! So my dad and I got into the back of his car together and arrived at the school in a police car!

I got into a wreck with my mom and stepdad when I was like 12 and the three of us had to get a ride to the mall (my grandparents picked us up there rather than the side of the road) in the back of a cop car. We were so annoying about it "omg look at us in the back of a cop car" and I realized how exciting it must be for cops that everyone freaks out about riding in their car.

Oop, now I have to think of something! Let's see...

1) I once sold a Lonely Planet travel guide to Eddie Vedder.
2) I almost ran smack into Krist Novoselic coming out of a store.
3) I sold a pair of earrings to Chris Cornell.

For some reason I thought you worked at a book store. Maybe I'm thinking of someone else. So I figured you'd actually sold the book and not the jewelry.

I had no idea who any of these people were, so I had to look them up. I am going to vote for #1 because Pearl Jam is not vegan. ;)
