I dunno for sure, but Buddha's Vegetarian seems like the type of place that would be open!

Very supplement-y and I'm not too into that (besides basic multivitamins and supplementing iron, B and D vitamins). I prefer more a grocery store where I can buy good food and this had some groceries but no produce. I also bought some take out from the deli and it's pretty good, too. The Big Carrot's still my fave though and best serves my needs as a full on store with everything I like. Also, if you guys are ever at Urban Herbivore Eaton Centre, I tried the Hostess type cupcakes last week and they are absolutely DIVINE! I think $3 per cupcake but well worth a little splurge. They have lots of other cupcake types too and I've tried a couple and they're solid.

I fairly regularly have to trek out to eht Healthy Planet in Markham (45 minutes away) for stuff like apple cider vinegar, chia seeds, nooch and melatonin since it is so damn expensive where I live. Our Independent Grocer/Loblaws has an okayish selection in the organic/naturals area, but the smallest bottle of organic ACV is still $5 which is rediculous. So I would kill to have your location nearby!

Any exciting events happening for New Years? I'm returning to NB for Christmas, but will be back in the city on the 29th. No specific new years plans have been formulated, but I plan to make plans..

Does anyone know if any restaurants in the GTA that are vegan/veg/veg-friendly will be open on Christmas Eve for dinner? I'm having a tough time finding any places that will be open in the evening, many are closing at 5...or even 3pm in one case! I work until 7 that night and we're looking to go out for dinner (me & my boyfriend). Thanks :)

Anyone interested in helping me develop my Food themed/based role playing game. I need people to play it with and offer imput into the way the game flows. Think Chef instead of dungeon master. think cooks instead of wizards. Think service instead of battle.

I haven't played a live RPG before, but that sounds like it might be fun. What sort of timing were you thinking of (i.e., when would you want to test it, etc.)?

Can anyone recommend a good one-stop shopping vegan friendly grocery store in Durham Region/Pickering/Ajax/Whitby? I'm visiting my family for the holidays and I grossly underestimated how hard it would be to find soft organic tofu in this neck of the woods.

I have to go to Markham for stuff, usually

Bummer! I didn't hear about the bake off until today when people were posting photos online. I would've gone!

Oh boo! I realized when I was leaving to go to the event that I should have posted in here beforehand. Too little too late!
Do you follow the Toronto Veg Association on Facebook? They usually post their events and all that jazz ahead of time.

Oh no worries! I've added the TVA to my Facebook likes so I can stay more in touch with what's going on!

I know lobsteriffic mentioned the Fresh opening at Yonge and Eglinton in another thread. We should have a meet up when it opens! I've been eyeing it excitedly when I go by on the bus on my way to the subway. Mmmm...Fresh.

Not until "summer", so perhaps we should have a meetup before then?

Yay! When is a good weekend for everyone? I mean if we did something sooner than Fresh (which isn't for months!). Where should we go? So many tasty places!
