true, but 20 hours a week in the saddle for 3 weeks straight takes a good amount of effort.

I've been riding a lot and racing cross! After only 2 races, I got second place in one of the Central Coast Cyclocross races: The next week, I came in third in the Lion of Fairfax race: My two riding buddies and I came in 1-2-3 in the Women's C category. Our coach was super stoked! I was set to do well at a bigger race last weekend, but I sprung a slow leak and ended up having to do my last lap slowly on a flat tire. Oh well. I still came in 9th out of 18, which is not bad for flatting out.

I didn't make it, but a bunch of my teammates did.
I'm now relocated to Portland, so I'm shopping for a team there and will be doing road races starting late January. I even got some road shoes!
