Job offer for a job I really, really want. I'll be much closer to most of my friends and family, and I get to leave behind the bully boss whose been terrorizing me for months. I'm moving back to Indiana! Never thought I'd be so pleased to move back to a red state.

Someone who did not reveal their identity sent me a copy of Artisan Vegan Cheese. I was so baffled when I found it in my mailbox. Also, I am so curious who did this.
I can't wait to get started on various cheeses !

I just feel today is a good day. It is a warmish December day, I had a nice gym workout and a nice walk with my pups. I've been so stressed lately that it feels nice to feel upbeat about the day.

Well a 4 hour interview sounds like a good thing. It is when the interview is supposed to be an hour but ends in 30 minutes that is a bad sign.

I'm moving back to Indiana! Never thought I'd be so pleased to move back to a red state. Hooray! Mine is also work related--I was subbing in kindergarten and I had time to read Where the Wild Things Are to the kids. Four of them had never heard it before, and their eyes were like saucers the whole time. Then I went to check my mailbox and found a huge bag of Skittles and a card for my birthday later this month. My job is hard sometimes but I really value doing the work I want to be doing in a positive environment.

Last night we had an unexpected visit from my brother-in-law, the only other vegan in my family. I whipped up some Thai food on short notice and he loved it. It is SO nice to cook for someone who appreciates it and isn't being sarcastic when they say "this tofu is really good!"

Passed an exam! It was a mostly practical test, we did stuff like injections and putting in feeding tubes (each student got one task). I got to demonstrate blood transfusions and it went really well. I've been really crazy nervous about this test, now I'm so relieved!

I asked around on Twitter, because the only clue on the receipt was the fact that the sender quoted my tweet about Artisan Vegan Cheese ("I would love to own this book") and added "Hereby. :-)" to it. And that is it. But alas, no one confessed that it was them. I find it rather exciting. Also, the book is fantastic. I'm SO excited about starting my first cheese !

Ballet! I love it so much. It takes my mind off absolutely everything because I am rusty with picking up choreography, and that is such a gift to me right now.

Mars wrote: JonnyWoop wrote: Discovered Dolly Parton. LIKE BUTTON BEING FURIOUSLY PRESSED Yeah, you posted one of her songs in the Youtube thread and then a podcaster who I was listening to also recommended her. So I thought I'd give her a shot. And I love her. On a side note, the podcaster I was listening to also happened to be gay. Is Dolly Parton a thing, like Cher or Judy Garland? I hope that isn't offensive. And I'm really sorry if it is. I've been drinking a little bit.

And listen to the song she did with Boy George. Your Kisses are Charity (Dolly Mix).
When I was a kid, I loved the stupid, sappy song Little Andy.
