How are we not talking about Jolene or Little Sparrow. Those songs make my soul ache.
Ok, 9-5 and Steel Magnolias also awesome.

YES.
I'm pretty sure I did okay on my final! This means I'll probably pass my chemistry class, which is an accomplishment given how shittastic this semester has been.

DOUBLE YES.
I keep thinking about all the things I haven't had time for in the last 4 months now that my semester is over: knitting, movies, cooking, marathoning tv shows (Classic Who and Star Trek, I'm lookin' at you!). I can even clean and organize my damn apartment! TRIPLE YES.

That's wonderful seitanicverses! Paloma, how exciting! Do you really have no idea who it might be from?
I asked around on Twitter, because the only clue on the receipt was the fact that the sender quoted my tweet about Artisan Vegan Cheese ("I would love to own this book") and added "Hereby. :-)" to it. And that is it. But alas, no one confessed that it was them.
I find it rather exciting. Also, the book is fantastic. I'm SO excited about starting my first cheese !
Amazing!

i work with a Jolene (Joelene, actually, but same thing) and she's a nasty nasty nasty person, and making up new lyrics to that song has saved my sanity at least once.

You might like this interview Gian Ghomeshi did with her Nov. 29 (scroll down, and then don't listen to the other depressing interview that's on the same podcast) : http://www.cbc.ca/q/podcasts/q/index.html
My favourite Dolly Parton quote is "It takes a lot of money to look this cheap".

YES! Oh man. Love the old country love. I also love some Carter family and June Carter. I tried so hard to teach myself "Wildwood Flower" in the GIT-TAR.

Getting to register for the classes I want without too much hassle for once! Seriously, this made me so happy.
That is huge. Each and every semester registration was a nightmare for me. Everything that could go wrong did and I always ended up in tears. Treasure your good registration experience!

LIKE BUTTON BEING FURIOUSLY PRESSED
Yeah, you posted one of her songs in the Youtube thread and then a podcaster who I was listening to also recommended her. So I thought I'd give her a shot. And I love her. On a side note, the podcaster I was listening to also happened to be gay. Is Dolly Parton a thing, like Cher or Judy Garland? I hope that isn't offensive. And I'm really sorry if it is. I've been drinking a little bit.

I can't remember)delic wallet, splaff belt and my copy of VEGAN EATS WORLD. Can't wait to wear, use and cook/eat from it all!!!!!! Thanks, Herbles and company, wherever you are. <3 <3 <3

GUYS! I liked my coworkers because they're supportive and helpful and good at what we do and don't make me feel stupid when I ask them things but WOW today they went with me to a vegan restaurant and they loved it! Loved the desserts, too. It was so cool.

Getting to talk to a friend online who I don't get to talk to very often-- and then seriously 20 minutes after she logged off, I got a handwritten letter in the mail from her. I am having such a shitty day that there couldn't have been better timing for a positive distraction like this.
Also, I am halfway done my takehome exam for the most horrible class. I wanted to be all done but sometimes you have to be happy with what you've got.
