That is just amazing! For some reason the booze has made me feel really full though. Maybe it is the booze, maybe it is the entire large pizza I ate. Who knows? All I know is I need a sugar fix but if I swallow anything else I possible will die a slow heartburny death

Neighbor's outdoor cat is bothering my indoor cat. They keep threatening each other through the window. It's making me nervous.

In other news, I have been not working on final projects all day. Stupid TV. Why are you so interesting all of a sudden?

I have this plan to work on my nutrition final and have it done in fifteen minutes tomorrow night. HA

ooh, is it a test or a project? tell me about it. I'm out of school now an BORED.

I hate it when outdoor cats do this to my cat! She gets SO upset.

Oh it's pretty fun actually. It's a budget project- create a day that fits within a budget of about 30 bucks a week and is nutritionally sound. I do this anyway so the fact I haven't finished this yet is terrible.

that is a cool project! I had to a project where i ate for $30 a week (and i couldn't use anything i already had except for spices) and keep track of each day and write a paper on it. it was a really good project. i think had easier than other people being and being used to eating a lot of beans. but i ended up taking it to the max, and when i calculated the food i ate at the end of the week, it turned out i had only eaten $15 of food the whole week!

I was at a holiday party at a Jewish house and they had the cutest little mini falafel bar. Everything was tiny and handheld. Tiny pocket pitas, tiny falafels, tiny chopped tomato and cucumber, tiny pickles and a squeeze tube of hummus. I want that every day.

What's the subject?

I'm writing about why many Christian conservatives reject the theory of evolution. Mainly I'm focusing on how arguments about evolution serve as proxy arguments for other issues, like who should be in control of what students learn in public schools.

Good thing: Epic Christmas Feast was better than I could have hoped for.

Bad thing: I was really, really sick. My alcohol tolerance is shockingly low for a man of 6'1". Like, I probably had about five glasses of wine? That's not much, everyone else had more, I wasn't, like blotto, but bleueueueueuergh all the same.

Aaaww, I was supposed to be photographing my baby niece in her santa costume today (for family friend's in Canada), and the Mr was going to come with me and get to meet my bro, SIL and the kids, but all the we'ans have the cold and we can't go *sobs a bit*. But, the mister is coming straight here and I think we'll pop down to the Market and hit up the vegan baked goods stall, then maybe watch Elf in front of the tree, with a quilt and snuggles.

I have a secret. Sometimes I lurk in the Playground. Sometimes those thread are serious birth control methods themselves. The one I read yesterday was the breast feeding one. Freaked me out.

Five glasses is a lot! You sure everyone had more?! I consider myself fairly averge tolerance, definitely not low like many people I know... And five glasses.... I would probably be barfing. (Though to be honest red wine kind of affects me more than other alcohols.)

ijdi, I assume that was a nutritionally balanced diet, given your area of study? That is very interesting - I am so frustrated when people say it is expensive to eat a health diet.

One of the contributors to that problem is the food basket survey that nutritionists here do - I think it is across Canada. They go out periodically (every two weeks?)and buy the same grocery items in grocery stores across the country and calculate the cost. It is incredibly misleading because no one on a budget does that. I don't buy fresh broccoli if it is $3.49, I buy the frozen stuff on sale for $1.79, etc.

Yeah 5 glasses seems like a lot to me and I used to have a fairly high alcohol tolerance.

Now though, a few sips of wine and I'm tipsy. I wouldn't even be able to drink 1 glass.

Yeah, the Mr & I can be a bit lax at times (mainly cos my ovaries are old and dusty), then I remember some of the things I've read in the playground and I get the protection out 0.o
