I hate it when crassholes in cars don't know when they don't have right of way!

Well, it would be more exciting than talking about the weather...

These competitions seem to bring out the type of Toddler and Tiara parents, but with added robots. Our team and it's parents all just ended up huddled in a corner avoiding them all. Several moms were furious that they could not help with the actual robot competition (the programing tasks). Yeah.

The kids did great but didn't win anything.

Molly sounds like a rice crispie: snap, crackle, and pop.

Her wheezing is really breaking my heart. Can't I be sick instead? Please?

I'm at work and my boyfriend just texted me to say that I've been driving without insurance for a week (unknowingly!). It's pouring and I'm kind of nervous to drive home.

You took her to the vet the other day right? What did they say? Did they prescribe some medicine for her?

I am so excited about the end of the Amazing Race. I didn't follow it this season or anything, but I'm glad that I watched the finale.

He said it was either injury on her cere from the macaw and dried blood obstructing her breathing, or a bacterial infection and she scratched until she bleed. Symptoms and treatment the same, so he didn't do any tests.

She gets antibiotics twice a day, sort of. It's really hard to get any in her! We gave up on the pain meds. She probably doesn't need it, and trying to get it in her was stressing her out too much. We also shove water down her nostrils a few times a day.

But, it's been a week. He said to call if it's not better in a week, so I'll call on Wednesday.

I came over to my computer to turn on some music for while I cook, and I ended up on the PPK and a bunch of time passed. What the hell, people.

I watched the whole season, and at the end I literally stood up and cheered. And I may have cried a little.

I super miss my mom and my sister and I really wish I didn't live across the country from them and that it wasn't so damn expensive to fly home.

Damn bird is feeling very smug and pleased with herself. She CHORTLED. Before I put her to bed, she was strutting up,and down with her head feathers fluffed on the side and flattened on top in true Warrior Princess Conure style.

We tried to give her the antibiotics and failed. Miserably. She wouldn't open her beak and I couldn't pry it open. She refused to take any of it even though it's pink and bubblegum flavored. We didn't realize just how much she's been cooperating before.

She knows she won this battle. I was afraid she was getting stressed, then look over and see her chortling and strutting. So aggravating. She was actually doing a victory dance of sorts.

Birds are a forking pain in the butt. This is why we had to give the poor cockatiel painful belly shots when she was dangerously ill. Will try again in the morning and then call the vet if she doesn't stop sounding like a rice crispy.

That must be really frustrating, lavawitch, but the image of Molly doing a victory dance made me laugh! I hope she's more cooperative tomorrow!

It depends. I have had some serious fishbowl-type glasses when drinking wine in the UK. Here in the low countries, the official measurement is 6 glasses from 1 bottle. But I don't think that people adhere to that too strictly.

Birds are so funny- in the strange funny way. Tiki is the happiest, friendliest cockatiel, til it's time for me to leave to go to work, and he transforms into the Montgomery-Burns-as-a-Vampire thing, and is squawking, flapping, and biting til he draws blood. EVERY forking DAY. Yes, sir, I understand you'd like to be loose around the house while I'm gone, chewing on wires and probably huffing toilet cleaner, but it's not going to happen. Now back in your cage, please. For fork's sake, today you have half a bloody sunflower in there to rip apart.

Is it just me or is the price of damn coconut milk ice cream rising. I dont remember 6$ a quart prices before.

It depends, I've seen that pricing on some of them. And then there is the $8+ quart cashew ice cream.

I was actually thinking that prices I saw yesterday were pretty reasonable. I don't buy it very often, however. What about Trader Joe's? Don't they have some coconut milk iced something-or-other?

it's $6 a pint here, too. i assume you're talking about a pint and not a quart cause $6 a quart would be a really good deal.

Haha, yeah, that was something. Some white folks will go to SUCH LENGTHS to defend anything or anyone from even the slightest accusation of racism, even when it has nothing to do with them.

Lavawitch, since molly loves stealing your food so much, could you hide her meds in some food you know she really likes and pretend you are eating it? Or just leave it out and let her think she's getting at something she's not supposed to have?
