It's just repackaged Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane. But it's so good! I didn't like the cinnamon tea very much, though. It's hard core cinnamon. Ha, I know! I may or may not have also bought an extra 2-3 boxes of the Celestial Seasonings as well. What's a brandy bean?

Why have I never tried the brandy beans? I'll pick some up on my next TJs trip.

I got all excited about the Brandy Beans but they are not vegan? Contained lactose and milk powder and milk was listed as an allergen. Are they different on the west coast?

Jenn shiitake - I actually didn't look at them. I've just had cheap-ass brandy beans that were vegan in the past, so I figured the TJ's ones, which looked similar, were those, and I got all excited when I saw them in the store (but didn't buy them). I'll check the west coast packaging. There ARE vegan brandy beans out there, though, so keep an eye out.

I think they might be repackaging a different brand--my sweetie and I bought about a hundred pounds of the damned things last year, and they were all vegan. This year we bought one package, then read this thread :(

I just returned from the grand opening of the Trader Joe's in Gainesville! I didn't have time to peruse this thread before going, so I freaked out a bit upon arriving. I'm also leaving to go home for winter break tomorrow, so I couldn't justify stocking up on everything. I managed to snatch up the chile spiced mangoes (wonderful!) and I tore into the speculoos spread with my finger once I got to the car. It is as amazing as everyone claims.

Is it Daiya-ish or something else? I'm hoping something else.

I like Daiya and it will be nice to be able to pick it up on a regular TJ's shopping trip and not have to make a special trip to whole foods. If it's something else, that's cool too. I hope I like it. I hope I love it more than Daiya if it's not Daiya.

I hope it is, if it is Vegan Cheeze - then that sucks because it has no flavor.

I hope it's Daiya and not Galaxy Rice Vegan Shreds...they melted really weird and got kind of pasty and sticky. But the Rice Vegan Shreds do look a lot like Daiya in the package.
Ingredient comparison, anyone?

Someone please post a pic of the ingredients! I agree with karichelle, if they are Dayia, then cool. If galaxy...booooooo. Those are weird. but I like Dayia, and this will be like $1-2 cheaper than at the store where I usually buy it.
(I can't seem to find anything online yet)
