T. ruined my only pair of work pants (I wear dresses, mostly) with the iron, so he insisted on going out and buying me a new pair. I told him it wasn't a big deal, but he insisted. So he went to a woman's clothing store (a plus size one, at that) and bought me a pair of pants. They're really nice! Then he came home and drew me a bath.

Just went to tour a new shop space that my workplace is hopefully going to move into real soon. I get to have my own paint room (no more sawdust or foam bits ruining my paint jobs!) Aaaand a big old spray booth with ventilation system! And a whole bank of windows which will be great until summer, when the south facing windows in our un-air-conditioned space might not be the greatest...

My coworker goes to a gym right next to a vegan restaurant, and yesterday she stopped in there and bought some of their desserts. So today I received peanut butter blondies with chocolate icing and a huge chocolate peppermint cookie! So yummy.

I've made Mama Pea's recipe for that, acr! It's pretty good. Chocolate Covered Katie also has a similar recipe, but she sneaks some chickpeas in there.
RC--where is this magical gym/vegan restaurant combination?

I was asked to come in and do the catering for the theatre festival that we have going on in the theatre where I work. I said yes, and today was the first day. I made minestrone soup, bought delicious artisan bread to go with it, made hummus and pesto, and had Isa's Just Chocolate cake for desert. I think that just the cake in itself made all 20 people think differently about veganism.

They are making cookies in my daughters class tomorrow. The teacher found a vegan recipe online and asked me where to buy earth balance. Yay for my kid being included!
Also I found out today at my daughter's gastro appt that her dr is vegan. How cool!

Aww, cookies!
Speaking of cookies, the best thing about my day was that my husband IMed me all excited this morning because someone brought in oreo stuffed chocolate chip cookies and he was like "I want to make these vegan!" and not meaning that he wants me to make them, but he was excited because he wants to make them himself. I will be so excited to eat those.

Peace O' Pie has some mighty fine desserts! That's where I got the cookie that was bigger than my face! They've also been messing around with doughnuts. They updated Facebook today to say they're thinking about experimenting with jelly doughnuts. If I can get a Boston creme pie doughnut, I'd be in heaven.

Not to rub it in, ACR, but that's also where FoMu is now, too. Vegan ice cream parlor! It almost makes me want to move to Allston. Almost.

This is from yesterday: I got the sweetest, most adorable birthday card from my parents-in-law. It made me feel loved and appreciated and reminded me how lucky I am to have such wonderful people in my life.

I didn't received the letter from the hospital that had rescheduled my cardiac appointment to last week, but they fit me in anyway. I finished my Christmas shopping and got £10 for taking part in some market research.
