I loved the Builder's Bars, too. I'm sure they have a bunch of sugar in them, but they're good if you're really in a lurch. I wouldn't really worry that much about shoving in protein - I'd just make sure every snack and meal has a good source of protein (peanut butter, nuts, legumes, quinoa, soy).

The builder bars are delicious and the choc nugos are good too, but if you want a bar with less sugar, look at simply bars. They are vegan, 16 grams protein and only 3 grams sugar. They taste kind of like a not as sweet Luna bar with no frosting. They are definitely not as sweet as builder bars but they aren't bad at all, no weird powdery protein taste or anything.

I find almonds help with my heartburn, and according to Google I'm not the only one. They're also a great, healthy snack!

i came armed with 1000 snacks today. i know i wont eat them all but i can leave them here and will have them if i need them.
i have pbj on whole wheat bread, cool slaw from AFR, hummus with cukes and celery, NuGo bars (10 grams protein!), 2 yogurts (1 almond, 1 soy), and then for lunch i have a kashi frozen meal.
no going hungry today :-D thanks for all the suggestions
