My triceps are killing me today. I didn't workout today, so this is from yesterday. I guess we'll see what's sore after my workout tomorrow.

I agree about walking lunges, like their effect just not the actual action.

My hamstrings are still sore. The power of dead lifts is to be respected.

Nothing sore right now, I just did a nice session of yoga today. I'm sure something will be sore after my workout tomorrow.

I'm...not sore. I've been exercising almost every day lately after not doing much of anything for quite a while (yoga, weights/pushups/situps as well as long walks that I don't really expect to get sore from). Am I not doing enough or doing it right? I stretch a lot. Any insight? Does everybody get sore from exercising? I have gotten sore in the past and I can tell I am getting stronger because I can do more pushups after two weeks.

Stretching is key. Pair that with drinking a lot of water and you might not be getting very sore because you're flushing all of the lactic acid out.
Or maybe I made that up? I'm not a professional nor do I claim to be.
I did two insane workouts yesterday and today- yesterday, 1 hr spin followed by 1.25 hr core/weight session. Today, 90 minute cardio/barre workout.
It just made my inner thigh soreness from my Core Stretching class on Tuesday continue to hurt. I'm so pleased.

It depends. If you mix things up, then you should be getting sore. Stretching will minimize soreness but you should still feel something. At least that has been my experience.

For me, when I'm not sore, I'm either not working hard enough (which is easy, because it takes a lot to make me want to really push myself), or I'm not varying my workout enough. I could do two hours on the elliptical every day and not get sore, or do one day for an hour at a really high resistance and high intensity and would likely get sore... but I've never done that, so I could be wrong. I don't know your situation: if you're an at-home work-outer, at a gym, or what, but maybe try a new class, new DVD, or just get lower in your squats and stuff? I need group exercise to push myself, otherwise I'm a slacker- I need someone yelling at me- "lower, faster, more!" Today: legs, arms, and upper back. And I've been doing this type of workout for two months now. It never gets easier.

I hurt today! I did p90x chest and back yesterday and plyometrics (jumping and lunging) today. My legs and butt don't hurt (yet), but my arms and shoulders are sore now. I think tomorrow is not going to be fun...

I think tomorrow is not going to be fun... tomorrow you will likely have crazy sore calves from 'hot foot' and probably some good general leg soreness. Plyo's good like that : ) linanil wrote: It depends. If you mix things up, then you should be getting sore. Stretching will minimize soreness but you should still feel something. At least that has been my experience. I definitely feel this is the case for me. When I was going to the gym I would have some pretty bad [good] muscle soreness maybe 50% of the time [doing the same workouts week after week]. Now with p90x I hurt after pretty much every single resistance workout because it's always changing. Good stuff. : )

Sorry if I missed this, but does anybody use arnica? My boss (I work at a health food store) says it's great for sore muscles. Me, I just stretch it out and keep a tennis ball in my bag for when my arches feel like they want to cramp up. If my waist/abs or bum are sore, hooping feels good on them too... a nice gentle massage.

Last Wednesday we did so many relevés that the muscle behind my knee was sore until Saturday even though I stretched every single day. And Thursday, hamstring stuff. It was great. I pulled back over the weekend and just focused on cardio. I'll jump back into it tomorrow and see what I can do... wonder if JP's legs hurt after plyometrics... I've never done that, but I've seen people in the gym doing it- looks intense! VeganMeredith wrote: I think I need to mix things up, I'm not sore anymore :(. Try a ballet barre class... any of those around you? Barre method, Physique 57, Barre Bee Fit...???
