Origami boxes are great because they look awesome and you can make them out of old calendar pages or magazine pages or anything really. I dunno if this is the greatest tutorial, but there should be a bunch of places online where you can find instructions.

I'm glad you mentioned these, I had forgotten about them! I think I'll do these for the kid's teachers. So easy and pretty and yum.

I am reviving this thread!
I did a bunch of canning earlier this year, so I'll be giving out pasta sauce and apple sauce and such, but I am also planning on making:
granola
mexican pickled carrots (for my brother who loves spicy pickles!)
apricot jam
raspberry jam
cookies

I think that's all. I love seeing everyone else's ideas!

yeah! these look super awesome. Maybe I will make a mini batch for my sister in law. I wanted to make her something coconutty, because I know she loves coconut. Thanks!
