oh, yeah, that could be gross, but assuming there's enough trash already in the trash can it shouldn't be a problem, i guess. I dunno! We keep food scraps in the freezer even when our CSA is over and we have nowhere to bring compost. It keeps trash from getting smelly, so maybe I'd spit it in there.

i tried oil pulling with some artisana coconut butter once and it was BAD. no one try that. i have nutiva coconut oil now though. i'm curious about op for my kp.

I kept thinking, I don't think that's gross. Is it gross that I don't think that's gross? I mean, it's just oil and saliva. It's not like you are freezing puke. If you decided to make stock with those veggie scraps, then it would be gross.

Let's just settle on keeping your spit in any fashion is kinda weird and gross.


I figured if I ever try this I'll just spit it outside. I guess that doesn't work if you live in an apartment. Or maybe it works more, I don't know you.

haha, totally not making soup, but I guess putting spit in the freezer is kinda gross. in reality, i think i'd probably be a Wasteful Wally and spit it in into a paper towel and throw it in the trash.

i was thinking a jar would be less gross because you can seal it tighter than a bag.

so, my first day, and it went pretty well. i spent 15 minutes swishing and what started out as a teaspoon or so ended up as 1/4 cup. it looked like coconut milk when i spit it out, and now it's starting to separate 15 minutes later. i used canola oil as my gateway oil.

I'm curious how much whiter this makes your teeth? Both Dazee and I have been blessed with yellow teeth--mine have always been like this. I may try this, sounds promising!

It could be useful if you are using an oil with ALA which vegans need.

FYI I've never tried this or heard of it but I am intrigued.
