My sister got me this adorable bento box for my birthday. Since I usually work from noon til 8 pm, and have my break at 5, I tend to bring mainly dinnerish things to eat during my break so I don't have to cook again when I get home. Mostly it's leftovers - chili, or pasta, or something like that - and sure I could put that in the bento box, but that just seems so uninspired. Inspire me, PPK! What would you put in the bento box?

cute! you need to go to justbento.com and get inspired!
if you were here, i'd give you a whole bunch of dorayaki to fill it with, but sadly you're far and i will just have to eat it all myself......

I am a fan of Oyaki's on a bed of lettuce.

i love anything with noodles. Udon noodles are probably my personal favorite. I make some mixed veggies in a chili/lime/garlic sauce and add the cooked the noodles. It tastes great room temp too so you don't have to worry about heating it up. Sometimes I add oven baked tofu to the mix too.

Also, Onigiri is really good too. You can make a whole bunch of them, wrap them up and freeze them. Then on the day you want them, microwave for a couple of minutes and you're good to go.
