I chopped up all the brambles I could see in my garden, so that when the bindweed comes up in spring it won't have a massive thorny tangle to wrap around. I put some of them in the compost heap, and when the woodlice have had a few days to nosh on those I'll put some more in. I love how my compost heap can take so much garden waste and mulch it down so quickly, it's like magic.

Idgy I got soooo excited for a minute, firstly mistaking John Hodgman for the venerable and sadly deceased actor John Houseman, reading your post and thinking "How can it be?" Still it sounds like pretty much the most awesome night EVAR. <3

I was on the phone with a friend and she informed me that because I inspired her, she's going vegetarian! She's been meat-free for 3 weeks now! One person at a time, that's my goal (insert maniacal laugher here).

Visiting my cockatoo, Cecilia, and getting the bright idea to order a vegetable sautee and hashbrowns at breakfast instead of just fruit salad. But mostly my cockatoo - I really, really miss her.

Someone gave me and my partner the cutest pair of mugs with lots of bright pictures of cute little sheep all over them. Sheep are "our animal" and these mugs are just so cute. I can't wait to sip coffee out of them together soon!

I spent three weeks researching my final paper on the Canterbury Tales. I wrote four drafts and pulled 1.5 all-nighters and had two meetings with the professor because the topic was kind of outside the scope of the course. Turned it in on Monday and have been stressing about it ever since.
Logged into our registrar's system today and I got an A for the class.

Logged into our registrar's system today and I got an A for the class. It sounds like you really went above and beyond (not surprising for you). I'm sure the professor was delighted by it though. Keep up the amazing work, but take care of yourself, too. I hope you are having some tasty noms and hot beverages to celebrate!

My dad is here safe and sound! Plus he brought cookies from my mom, and they are awesome. She found a vegan recipe of one of my favorite cookies she makes (pecan tasse/nut cup).

Out of the blue phone call from a crush from nanowrimo asking me on a date! Which followed a text from okcupid crush (after I spent most of the day worried that okcupid crush decided I wasn't awesome anymore!)!!

After a long semester where my social anxiety got worse and I missed a lot of class, I actually did well! If I do honors I have to keep my marks 75 or above, and I did just that. I got a 91 in the course I was most worried about.

Nice job shy mox! I dropped out of college due to social anxiety and want to give everyone who powers through it a standing ovation. It is not an easy task. Seriously please be very proud of yourself. I think not finishing college is my biggest regret in life.

I had a fun evening out with friends. Accidentally drank four glasses of iced tea and couldn't figure out why I was wide awake and ready to keep going all night!
